Anyone agree? I love Malcolm so much, it's just too good to be true.

Thank you, JB, am suppressing waves of hysteria at that.

Also...Indiana Murray and the Bum Dildo of Vengence.....big, snotty, gasps of laughter

JackBauer · 16/11/2009 15:06

You see, I knew all that audio typing training would come in handy one day

I was so elieved when I foudn thsi thread as DH doesn't 'get' it at all, he hears 'political comedy' and just switches off.

It's this bit that slays me.
"whilst whistling bohemian fucking rhapsody."

It's just not necessary to add anything at that point, and yet they do, and it's fucking genius

Blackduck · 16/11/2009 15:17

"You're wanted in No 10 ASAFP"
'F?'
"Feasibly?"

Or the iPhone joke....'Nicola's having a Jeremy Kyle Moment'....

'Get that cyclist, sure he's a member of the shadow cabinet'....

JackBauer · 16/11/2009 15:22

Was that an iphone scrolling text?
It was cool

Blackduck · 16/11/2009 15:26

Yes, when Ollie is on the phone to Nicola he holds it up....

JackBauer · 16/11/2009 15:44

I have just found it on the ovi store for my nokia. Am currently scrolling 'come the fuck in or fuck the fuck off' from the other side of the room, much to my amusement. Luckily DD@s can't read.

Oooh I've only just seen this thread. I loved Archie the Inventor as Labour party press officer. I have met that character sooo many times in my working life.

Lotster · 16/11/2009 18:04

Ha ha JB, I'm amused at the thought of you scrolling obscenities to yourself in the living room

JackBauer · 16/11/2009 18:27

I can't tell you how tempted I am to put it in the front window.

nigelslaterfan · 17/11/2009 15:02

Terri with Peter Mannion, with all that slap on and simpering, total, perfect, utter, glorious genius! And peering at them over the balcony.

His voice is gorgeous but I wouldn't.

Peter Capaldi is a national treasure. I adore Malcolm.

I was watching the red button extras and said to DH "Oh, I feel so sorry for the woman who plays Robyn, her bits never make it into the main show!"

He told me it was meant to be like that and that I am clearly a fuckwit.

Lotster · 17/11/2009 18:57

Robyn's screensaver made me piss my pants not literally you understand.

Do you mean Terry;s screensaver with her and Peter Mannion? That Ollie did?
That was wondrous

CJCregg · 18/11/2009 16:47

When Terri answers her mobile she says 'Coverley, Comms' as if she's in MI5 or something - it's hilarious. Love her, love them all. Bohemian fucking Rhapsody.

nigelslaterfan · 18/11/2009 17:23

Armando Ianucci should be knighted and made a Lord and given every gong going for bringing such joy into my life.

Thank God for the BBC and fingers crossed the Tories don't try to shut it down or give it to Rupert bl* Murdoch to run.

nigelslaterfan - yesm

tattycoram · 18/11/2009 22:26

oh nigelslater I wish you hadn't said that. I have gone from to double

notyummy · 19/11/2009 08:52

I have started emailing my DH a 'Thick of It' insult of the day. (On his private email account, as I'm not sure ANY of them would make it through the MOD firewall!!)

Yesterday was the bohemian rhapsody one, today is the bonnet/purview/shitter one.

happy days!

Lotster · 19/11/2009 19:50

Heh heh, I've used "you're an omnishambles!!"
twice this week

Megglevache · 19/11/2009 20:01

LOL, this show is swearing heaven to me.

ohfuschia · 21/11/2009 00:02

Looking forward to tomorrow night - Richard Bacon played an excerpt on his 5Live show (the episode is set there)

Nicola (flustered): 'Last time I was on 5Live I thought Simon Mayo was going to be a walkover and it was a bloody nightmare'

Terri (soothing) : 'You just got unlucky there...I mean I suppose there has to be one person that Simon Mayo doesn't get on with'

And choppychopster I said the same thing about Robyn's bits being cut so I too am a fuckwit

Some glorious moments here for sure but somehow this didn't work as well for me, maybe there was too much all in one place and then Malcolm's rage not as totally believable as usual. Also Mannion and Nicola were making mistakes which were too obvious somehow. It just didn't quite convince me unlike last weeks which seemed much more plausible. I don't know, was anyone else disappointed? It's still better than almost anything else though...

But Lordy Lordy Lord, Richard Bacon was amazing as an actor! Usually those people playing themselves are terrible but he was sort of magnificent! What was that jacket about though?
