IT LOOKS REALLY DEFFO BRILL

New gripping drama. Troubled police detective John Tolin returns to work after an extended period of leave, but his first day back throws up a complicated case involving a shocking road traffic accident. The victims include a multimillionaire with a pack of lawyers, a young black woman whose over-protective father is crying racism and a PA with a dangerous secret. I thought it was a little slow, but then its got to be to last that long, everyone seems to have a dodgy secret.

He was definately doing something dodgy, he went to Amsterdam to pick something up after he had had something done to the van. If he ran off it must be something that would get him in trouble if caught.

I saw the aftermath of an accident on M40 on Saturday and several cars on my side of the road had been hit by debris from other side of road ~ they had smashed windows and it occured to me at the time ~ that you could just be driving down the road and then all of a sudden from the other side an accident happens and your life is changed

So I think it is a deffo brill idea for a story ~ all the differnt back stories of people involved in accident

I am sure he had drugs in the frame of the door of the van

Also, I think that the PA woman was being followed by her boss ~ do you think so too?

what happened in after the last adbreak? I fell asleep

was just after the secretary had stolen the files I think. Saw the daughter of the high profile bloke had slept over at the boyfriend's house and I think, saw the guy get through the port on the UK side.

After that, last memory I have is of a red car driving lol.

I think Piano man was a Paedophile.

Piano man seemed to cause the accident as someone in another car came up along the side of him and took photos on their phone. This spooked him, causing him to swerve and the others all seemed to crash into him. Have I got that right? Or where some of them on the other side of the motorway too? Anyway, question is, why was he so spooked about someone taking his photo? He was certainly creepy! The same actor played Mr Collins in Pride and Prejudice. Poor bloke always gets the creepy parts!

DH thought that the man taking out his MIL was going to kill her.

I didnt understand the bit about the photo on the mobile. I hope that gets explained otherwise it just seems a bit random - does that actually happen?

Not sure about the MIL thing. I thought maybe he was taking her to an old people's home or something, and that's why his Wife didn't go, as she couldn't face it. Or felt guilty about it.

I think the photo thing will have to be explained as that is what caused the crash.

Mayb your right, all I know is that the photot the policeman had on the wall of the MIL must have been taken a few years before because she looked alot different!

Also, what do you think the policeman's secret is? I think his wife must have died in some kind of accident.

Yes I think the policeman must have lost someone close to him in a car accident - maybe his wife, or whole family? Perhaps he was involved in the crash too hence his "long abscence"? DP's friend was here and watched it too. He thought the piano man might be a paedophile - the disc he handed over. Someone took a picture of him with a mobile and he put his hand up to hide his face/wave them away and that is what made him swerve. (So I wonder who took the photo and why, why he was so keen for it not to be taken? Perhaps the paedophile connection?) Then someone crashed into him starting off the pile-up.

Foxinsocks you can watch it on the ITV website, just skip to near the end. I bet the crash will be repeated in the recap bit at the beginning tonight anyway. And you only saw the start of the crash and it wasn't that dramatic, it cut off at the point of impact. I imagine the most dramatic crash sequence will be in tonight's episode.

Isn't the girl in the service station Maid Marion from the BBC's Robin Hood? If so, I think she looks better with dark hair!

Thoughts on this ep so far. Dean Lennox Kelly character is a bit daft legging it. Will be easy to trace the work's van, which indeed they now have. Also, was Phil Davis's character not too chuffed his MIL had survived? And am sure they wouldn't give you such awful news on your doorstep!

if you look carefully in the crash MIL is wearing a belt as they are going into the crash

I think this is a deffo brill programme

I think the PA has sort of been kidnapped and the envelope the kids nicked is her envelope off the back seat of the policeman's car

There didn't seem to be many air-bags going off either. Bit strange seeing as some of the cars involved were top of the range models. Even my old R-reg Astra has air-bags!! Afterwards there seemed to be some deployed ones knocking about but none seemed to go off when the cars crashed. Probably down to budget costs I imagine. ITV is on it's arse at the moment!

I do think it's a good prog but I am not getting a sense of how awful the crash was. Just people saying how bad it was isn't enough really. When they show bits of the crash itself, it doesn't look that bad.

And what is the importance of the bee/wasps that keep turning up? Could it be that it was a wasp that caused the crash? In last night's ep there was a wasp in the service station. Maybe the piano guy wasn't spooked by that lad taking his photo after all. Maybe he was shooing a wasp out of the way? There was a wasp in tonight's ep too so it seems to be a recurring theme.

Hmm, that's true, I didn't notice the wasp last night though.

I don't think the police said anything on the doorstep, I think the mum saw them and put 2 and 2 together with her daughter being late to the party.
