Yes to death metal and Mustang Sally, no no no to Savage garden- memories of a seriously dodgy ex. Bon Jovi OTOH have some serious connotations for me (my friend died at 16 and had the words to blood on Blood on her pillow) so I will look forward to that but with a drnk I suspect.

love their styling
love their complete lack of self awareness
love their gusto and inability ot sing or dance
they are perfect for pop

for some reaon now we pretend that being able to sing is a prerequisite of the pop industry
why do they keep pretending that it's something serious or akin to art on the x-factor panel?

not really all that surprised Danyl and Miss F were bottom. (easy to say this afterwards of course).

Miss Frank can sing but they are somehow too old for me - way they come across and I'm no great fan of shriek style singing which they tend to throw in now and again to show what they can do. Danyl is somehow way too old for the show, not in actual age but he is like an overtrained stagecoach kid who is now an adult. I think he is unnatural on the stage, he can do it but it is so acted the whole thing.

I prefer the younger ones who look a bit wooden or goofy but are jsut themselves

Am gutted Miss Frank went but I did think Danyl did better in the sing off. Disgraceful that they were in the bottom 2 - both of Chryl's acts are crap, Rachel seems to have developed a new personality overnight, Jamie (much as I like him) was crap and both Jamie and Rachel did not sing Big Band. First and last time I get into X-Factor I think.

Oooh btw friend works for Universal and is part of the launch group for Cheryl's album and apparently it is really really good. Next single is ace by all accounts.

Rachel turned all gushy and giggly and OMIGOD and chatty, imitating Stacey Solomon when she was being interviewed by Dermot which was really pants. She's just not interesting, she shouldn't pretend to be somebody bubbly when she is quite blatantly not!

I liked Rachel's hair. They are all manipulated into a product - they can't be themselves. John and Edward to win in our house.

I asked my sis if Rachel had had too much Coca Cola but she just laughed and said 'that's Rachel, she is actually like that!'

On Saturday I met Joe (pocket sized), Olly (sweet) and Danyl (lovely).

Anyway, been a fantastic experience getting all the behind the scenes gossip - hopefully my sis will stay in the loop and feed me the odd scrap now and then.
