True Blood!!??

So how come no one's talking about it?
Personally I'm a little in love with it and a bit obsessed.

It's very funny and very clever and more than a little frightening I feel.

What is it about vampires?

Dh asked me after last night's episode if I'd like to be a vampire. Apart from the fact I would rather be a younger self than I am now so would choose about 25 years ago I said
"It's a no brainer - you get to live forever and sleep all day. What's not to like?!"

Yeah there are loads of True Blood fans on here! It was shown on the FX channel first. There should be a thread somewhere called True blood on FX or something like that.

I have pre-ordered the 1st season on Play. Should be on it's way pretty soon!

I keep forgeting its on!so i've only seen little bits so far,from what i've seen it looks good.Though my only negitive is that the lead vamp bill is not as dishy i like my vamps to be.I much prefer the vampire in moonlight now he can bite my neck ant time

I like True Blood a lot but the vampires are the worst thing in it. All that adolescent posturing and moody eye-meets. It's the human characters that keep it interesting for me, oh, and the sexy accents of course.

Sorry girls- (bit of an assumption, but...)BUT Bill is BEST! did you see in Episode1/s1 when he said "May I call on you?" Oh,how lovely! (And I'm so tempted to do the southern accent on the phone at work!)

I used to like Bill, but once you've seen season 2 then it's all about Eric! and yes that southern accent is very sexy!

I know, and thanks for that, but [dim technophobe emoticon] I don't want to watch it on the computer, I want to see it on a big screen, in glorious high definition, sitting next to DH and with a big glass of wine

And I quite like having to wait a week for the next episode, the longing for the next installment is part of the enjoyment . Don't mind waiting a week, but not A Year or So, arghh.

DH's friend put season 2 on dvd for us cos I wouldn't have liked to watch it on the computer either, I was too impatient and couldn't wait a week,and now I will have to wait for season 3 I need my Eric fix!

I am really loving this show.

Did you notice in the first couple of ep's there was a newspaper on the table with the headline 'Angelina adopts vampire baby' - lol!!

Can I ask a dumb question though - how do become a vampire, is it a bite or do they have to suck your blood??

In True blood they drain you for days and days and then the Vampire gives you their blood. I think that is why Sookie and Jason and others who have Vampire blood in it don't become vampires themselves. It's because they haven't been drained beforehand.

I'm also watching this on Ch4 - totally loving it! I'm definitely a bit in love with Stephen Moyer (Bill)

It's also very sweet that the leads are engaged in real life - all the sexual tension is legit!
