So how come no one's talking about it?
Personally I'm a little in love with it and a bit obsessed.

It's very funny and very clever and more than a little frightening I feel.

What is it about vampires?

Dh asked me after last night's episode if I'd like to be a vampire. Apart from the fact I would rather be a younger self than I am now so would choose about 25 years ago I said
"It's a no brainer - you get to live forever and sleep all day. What's not to like?!"

Oh wow!!!!

Not normally a fan of men with lighter coloured hair but wow!!

I am totally hooked on this show... I do like Bill... he can bite me anytime but now I have to go and trawl the internet to find out about Sam... all those teasers in the other thread... I can't wait to find out properly!!!

teameric · 30/10/2009 21:22

see that little dip between his abs above his belly button? I want to lick that...
Oh yes Sam, I sort of guessed about him but didn't get it totally right, you may be surprised.

iwascyteenagewerewolf - I know what you mean. I think Bill will get more complex as it goes along. Also Eric is an interesting character too. I haven't seen the 2nd season but I know Godric has a lot of fans. He comes into it in season 2. I just think it's kind of cool to have down right nasty sadistic vamps back again! But hey, that probably says more about how twisted I am! I always liked the character Spike in Buffy too, pre-soul of course.

Oh and that pic of Vamp Eric was gorgeous. I don't normally go for blondes either but he is awesome!

Purpleparrot · 30/10/2009 21:43

Ooh... Spike... Yes I loved him too... was pretty gutted when he died at the end... thank heavens for Angel where he got to come back but being a dark hair fan my favourite was Angel.. even when he was evil!

I thought about Sam but got it wrong... just discovered what it was. Saw a trailer on the True Blood page on facebook and I am shocked at what is to come!!! It was a music video with clips from the show!!!

I am going to 'bump' this thread as it took me ages to find it.

I am not really a fan of vampire stories but I have to say that series is first class. very compelling storylines, excellent acting, beautiuful cinematography - it's just very well done. I think I might get hooked - once i get over the bad language, explicit sex and violence (Iknow it's all part of it and it works I am just a bit squeamish.)

...and on the the would you like to be a vampire discussion, that's a clear no for me. I like sunlight, I like to know that I am only here for a short time and I have to make the most of it and, like i said, I am squeamish when it comes to blood. So, I'd rather stay human.

Xavielli · 14/11/2009 19:24

I've read all the Sookie books and tbh I'm a little bit disappointed with the series as a representation of it. As a series on its own it is a good watch. I think I'm just hanging on for more Eric and hoping we get enough seasons to be introduced to Quinn.

Twilight has made me go a bit vampire-lit mad.

custy I've read P.C Cast books too, ver ver teenage but a good read notheless. The new one, Tempted, I felt to be a little bit non-eventful!

Xavielli · 14/11/2009 19:26

However, I do keep having 'what-the-hell-is-Vinnie-from-home-and-away-doing-here?' moments.

kickassmama · 15/11/2009 10:37

I'm loving it!i've found out out who the murderer is as well.Shame her gran was killed though

ToraFlora · 16/11/2009 19:25

Loving True Blood as well, can't wait for the next episode each week!

But have a question, I ordered the boxset of books and they have arrived today.

Is it better to wait until I have seen the first series, before I start reading them? Will it spoil anything?

BTW do know what Sam is, had to look it up as couldn't wait to find out
Thanks
