True Blood!!??

So how come no one's talking about it?
Personally I'm a little in love with it and a bit obsessed.

It's very funny and very clever and more than a little frightening I feel.

What is it about vampires?

Dh asked me after last night's episode if I'd like to be a vampire. Apart from the fact I would rather be a younger self than I am now so would choose about 25 years ago I said
"It's a no brainer - you get to live forever and sleep all day. What's not to like?!"

Not that keen on the 'bonking' but like the stuff between Bill and Sookie and the way he looks at her from under his eyes and says 'Suckie is maaaahn!'. Yes please!

Think it is very well done and like the setting and music.

Sorry what do you mean about Sam?? what do you think he is??!! Am reading the book at the moment and there is something unusual about him (Sookie can't quite read his mind) but not sure what.....

I don't mind the sex scenes although I do find it slightly odd knowing Bill and Sookie are together in real life.

This is why didn't want to read the True Blood FX thread as don't want to find out too much (although reading the first book so know a bit but prob wont read any more of them). Have to agree with original poster that I am a bit obsessed with it as well - role on Wednesday!

Know what you mean a bit about them being together in real life - she is too young for him (13 years younger!) - he needs a slightly older woman I think!

I rembered it was on last nighti can now say i'm hooked!sookie's boss is a bit weird, don't know his name but very stange what he did at the end of last nights episode.Makes me think he might be involved in the murders!Who was that vamp in the club who summond sookie and bill to him he seemed a bit dishy is that Eric?Oh and sookies brother had me in stiches when he drank all that vamp blood,can't belive the actor who playes him used to be in home and away!Do sookie and bill get it together in this series?

The books are ok- not nearly as good as the twilight ones- but easy to read and provide a nice vampire fix

Think there's 9 so far. Have only read 8 though.

Haven't seen last nights episode. Have it V+'d for later. Am loving it so far though.

Sorry if I'm being thick here but didn't Bill & Sookie already have sex or was she just dreaming.....it was in last weeks episode where she turns up out of the blue at his place in her nightie and says they should get it over and done with...but it's not been referred to since!

Not enough Bill for my liking last night - don't think I'm gonna go for Eric as he is too blond for me! Never been into blonde men - prefer them Dark! Speaking of gorgeous, dark men - Spooks is back next Wed! That will make a good evening's viewing - Spooks followed by True Blood (although usually have to record as finishes a bit late for me!) How sad am I!

The vampires continue to be cheesy cheese cheese. Jason Stackhouse's comedy stylings are all that keeps me hooked atm.

I love the vampires in True Blood! I think it's great to have nasty, violent vamps again instead of all those poncey, tortured, whinging vamps we've been lumbered with in other stuff. I blame Anne Rice, she started it all! (And I speak as someone who loved the 1st three Vampire chronicle books too!) I've just had my fill of them that's all.

As someone else has pointed out Sookie was only dreaming about having sex with Bill. Can't remember which ep they do have sex in. But she has a fantastic white gown on. Someone on another thread called it her "I'm gonna have sex with Bill dress!"

Don't get me wrong, I hate Anne Rice and all that tortured poor me shit. I just think it's hilarious that the vampires in True Blood are such stereotypes of themselves, dressing in 90s bondage gear and going on, and on, and on about how bad they are. I'm hoping to meet a few more complex characters as the series goes on - after all, if they all act like Bill's bad mates there would never have been any chance of reintegration into human society, it just would have been all-out war.

mmmmmm Eric...... sorry where was I? oh yes apparantly Eric is going to be mostly undressed in season 3 according to the True Blood official fan page on facebook .
Thats not going to be for ages though so till then...here you go... sigh
