Is anyone going to watch this on Monday night? Has anyone seen it already in the US? I can't work out if it looks good or crap.

OP posts:
squeaver · 29/09/2009 08:03

God that bit at the end was creepy. And I'm not usually freaked out.

Lomond · 29/09/2009 08:10

I'm intrigued by it! Seems to be a lot going on and a lot of people to keep track of but I think it looks good so far. Will fill a bit of the void that Lost ending has left me with lol (Until it returns!)

Lifeinagoldfishbowl · 29/09/2009 08:19

If it was 10pm then maybe the little girl was having a F/F of a dream she would have -

Dh is worried it's going to be like Lost with nothing resolved at the end of the series. But really, they can't make six months last more than one series of 22 episodes, can they??

Lifeinagoldfishbowl · 29/09/2009 10:05

Depends on if 6 months from now they all have another f/f Agree that I can't see how it will be a series?

squeaver · 29/09/2009 10:07

Oh God you're right. Better not tell Dh that, he's still getting over Prison Break...

LoveBeingAMummy · 29/09/2009 10:08

O I ahve not read any of this as I am gutted that I missed it does anyone know if it is repeated?

PfftTheMagicDragon · 29/09/2009 10:08

I'm going to give episode 2 a go, thought that there was potential but it's all a bit anvil-licious isn't it? The flashes that show us what you might not have realised was a connection, like the friendship bracelet.

I hate shows that treat you like you have no brain. I like the fact that Lost assumes that you know that they have conversations off camera, that events progress without you seeing, they don't show someone telling the same story 5 times.

I thought overall it felt a little cheap, the effects weren't great and some of the acting and accents were shocking.

smugmumofboys · 29/09/2009 10:11

I enjoyed it. I never watched Lost so can't comment on any similarities.

I had goosebumps with CCTV bit.

thedollshouse · 29/09/2009 10:21

I enjoyed it. I really hope it doesn't end up being like Lost as I hated it. I hope that someone has already decided on the outcome of the programme. With Lost it felt like they were making it up as they went along.

kickassmama · 29/09/2009 10:27

I forgot it was onanyone know how i can catch up??

thedollshouse · 29/09/2009 10:28

Channel 5 do catch up TV through i player.

PlumBumMum · 29/09/2009 10:32

I need to watch again as I missed the very start

Is it to obvious that the man in the baseball stadium was the boys daddy, can't remember if his reaction when he met the doc, because surely he would have seen her in his flash forward

PfftTheMagicDragon · 29/09/2009 11:02

The man was creepy but it's been done so many times before.

Did anyone else see the Oceanic billboard?

chosenone · 29/09/2009 11:06

What about when joseph Fiennes character was running through the city in a slow motion styleee! Cheesy! But it is very watchable on a monday night!

GypsyMoth · 29/09/2009 11:20

sad for the man who had no flash forward though....knowing he'll be likely dead in the next 6 months.

was the baseball stadium man the only one not having a blackout i wonder?? i get the feeling there will be several more men like that across the world, like some cult or aliens landing or something

dd thought perhaps aliens.

nice to see the bloke from howard and kumar get the munchies again

GypsyMoth · 29/09/2009 12:50

the friendship bracelet, was it pink? girlyish i recall.

now for him to be actually still wearing it in his flash forward,i took to mean maybe he has been separated/lost his daughter in some way. after all,how many men in his job etc, would actually wear something so twee?/he would if something had gone wrong tho....if he has lost her in some way

No, I know what it means, re- the friendship bracelet, but I just thought it was all so clunky. I mean, we've seen the bracelet, the best way would have been a look from him and then you have to interpret that. Instead, she gives him the bracelet and then there's a flash, just in case you're too stupid to put the pieces together yourself!

i just watched it on sky plus. The only reason he is drinking in the future is because he knows she is off with another bloke. Sort of catch 22.
I think it's got legs though. Especially now Andrew Davenport has turned up as well as Mr Fiennes...
cctv made me slightly freak, like when you see 'ghost' sightings on camera

The only other 'long' serial I have watched was Speilberg's Taken. Enjoyed that.
