I am watching.

I have given.

I feel very sober, very sad and very blessed.

To see people, children suffer unimaginable pain and loss is profound. Sobering in that it brings the lives we live into sharp focus.

I feel my complaints to be nothing.

jenk1 · 13/03/2009 21:37

i know sparkly it puts everything else pales into significance.

I don't know how much more I can take

Portofino · 13/03/2009 21:52

I've only cried once so far. Doing well. And I already donated to Rhubarb and bought the Mr Funny's Red Nose Day book for dd. I loved the James Corden/England team sketch. V funny. And me and DH both were in stitches over Paul Whitehouse doing Evan thingy from Dragon's Den though felt most guilty about it.

beanieb · 13/03/2009 21:53

me. Gary Barlow seems a lot sexier than he's ever been before - Help!

twinsetandpearls · 13/03/2009 21:56

DD has donated the money we had put buy for her dance school uniform, she has agreed to wait another month

suchawuss · 13/03/2009 21:58

I'm watching - does anyone know why Kimberley Walsh seems to be completely sidestepped as part of the Kilimanjaro climb? She was barely seen in last night's programme and just now was the only one not interviewed! She seems to just stand and smile.
Not that I give a toss about her (nor really know who she is) but it's become a bit of a fascination for me and DH!

jenk1 · 13/03/2009 21:59

i cant watch any more films of babies dying of malaria, ill have to turn it off if another one comes on, DS handed me the phone and said buy a net for the babies PLEASE MUM PLEASE, so we did, its sooo

Who needs Comic Relief?
Becky and Steve's (non) wedding supplied all the laughs needed for one night of telly....

tootiredtothink · 13/03/2009 22:20

My dd donated all the money on her phone credit. It's the first time I've let her watch as I cry throughout!

I'm finding it harder to watch with those poor babies dying.

SparkyFartDust says it better that I can.

brimfull · 13/03/2009 22:21

I cry more every yr, must be my age.
stupid question-can you send text more than once?

brimfull · 13/03/2009 22:22

take that drummer goes to my gym

bubblerock · 13/03/2009 22:23

I'm being very naughty and have recorded it from the beginning - watching it now and fast forwarding through all the sad stuff and just watching the comedy sketches

Stilla · 13/03/2009 22:26

Howard Donald goes to your gym ?

brimfull · 13/03/2009 22:27

is that his name?

he looks like a tramp in the gym

tootiredtothink · 13/03/2009 22:32

ggirl dd and I have both done it a few times from our phones.

Although still waiting for the money to be taken from any of them.

thumbwitch · 13/03/2009 22:50

I'm watching but wussed out of watching the film clip they warned us about - just couldn't bear it, was holding DS (15mo) at the time as he was just going to sleep and I knew it would have me in bits so turned over.

Am impressed with the amounts raised! But why/how did Claudia Winkelman get away with not wearing a nice red frock, like Davina and Fern Britten are/did?

jenk1 · 13/03/2009 23:00

Carol Vorderman annoys me,im not sure why!

OP posts:
micko · 13/03/2009 23:02

god her bum looks huge!

PictureThis · 13/03/2009 23:02

I'm watching. Have laughed, cried (a lot I might add) and donated.

AngeChica · 13/03/2009 23:03

Why does Vord suddenly look like an Amazon woman? I had mistakenly thought she was petite!

Tommy · 13/03/2009 23:04

as just going to comment on Carol Vorderman

what has she done to herself?!

thumbwitch · 13/03/2009 23:04

She annoys me too, and did in The Apprentice yesterday - I think it's cos she tries too hard and wants to be noticed too much.

thumbwitch · 13/03/2009 23:06

and from annoyance to blubbing again - I hate so much to see them suffering, I just want to pick them all up and give them cuddles.

jenk1 · 13/03/2009 23:09

oh those poor little babies

as for carol vorderman, what an attention seeker, she gets worse as the years go by
