I think I've figured out why Justin Fletcher freaks me out - am I alone?

Asides from the incessant cheerfulness - (it's not right) I think, it's because he looks like a giant manbaby. Grown men who look like babies are IMO a bit scary.

Is it terrible to be freaked out by someone who is clearly a Very Good Person?

Ohh how sweet. Something special is my fave cbeebies prog. I also quite like in the night garden for pure wierdness.

KayHarker · 06/02/2009 23:22

muffle, that's adorable. Oh, I really would like to give him a proper chuch on his cheeks now. What a sweetheart.

Woooozle100 · 06/02/2009 23:26

am jealous of you there, muffle. I want a jovial greeting off justin to make me feel like the world is a nice place full of nice happy people

I though that tina was raymond's mom for ages

dsrplus8 · 06/02/2009 23:26

leave justin alone ! hes a hero ! anyone who stops dd4 in her tracks mid melt down cant be wrong! ffs he saved my eardrums!!!!! , no one is allowed to bitch about justin from now on! o.k?

edam · 06/02/2009 23:32

there was a bizarre episode of Something Special with Justin flipping through a book of his own family photos, signing 'dad' and 'brother' and so on. I think it really was his own family - you could see the link - but the rest of them looked so normal compared to great big Mr Babyface. Very odd.

edam · 06/02/2009 23:33

(I do admire him as a kid's presenter though, is clearly a Very Good Thing indeed.)

FairLadyRantALot · 06/02/2009 23:34

no, I am not going to be the one saying this...I would be condemded to softplay for life hell....
it is, an obviousl one, I don't necessary think it is comepletely true, but it may well sadly be true for some/a lot...even if they don't mean it that way...
(however it was a reality I woke up too, myself... and am in denial officially about this)

KayHarker · 06/02/2009 23:38

FairLadyRantALot, I find myself compelled to shake you and ask 'what?!!!'

muffle · 06/02/2009 23:39

Have thoughts of Justin left you distracted and helpless?

DaDaDa · 06/02/2009 23:44

Is this an opportunity to praise the delightful Nina? Niiiiiiiina!

What a beautiful shiny forehead that girl has.

bohemianbint · 07/02/2009 09:41

Actually whilst we're on the subject I might as well get it all off my chest - I want to talk about Big Cook.

Does his cheerfulness seem so stretched at the edges you can almost see behind it? Particularly where he's doing that stupid ridiculous arm wavey dance having cleaned up his kitchen, if you look behind the eyes you can almost see the self loathing, that all his drama school training has come to this.

I can just imagine that off camera he's the most curmudgeonly git ever to walk the earth, I bet he's hell to go out with.

It was me who instigated the snowsuit thing KayHarker!

I like Justin, and not in a motherly way.

AngeChica · 07/02/2009 09:50

Justin is... avuncular. Like Brian Cant for the Noughties.

The only fit fella on CBeebies is Captain DJ.

What are you trying to say FairLady, that JF is a friend of Dorothy...? I was far more devastated to find out that Alistair Appleton was of that persuasion - he was my top fantasy during my daytime telly BF days.

NoBiggy · 07/02/2009 09:51

PC Plum not straight shocker!

Poledra · 07/02/2009 09:55

Justin is sweet and good at his job.

I'd do Sid......

MrsSeanBeanIsEmployable · 07/02/2009 09:57

Ooh yes, Sid very nice too. But that Andy guy doesn't do it for me.

Woooozle100 · 07/02/2009 10:11

re big cook little cook - did anyone see that programme small (?) made about being ginger? Was on about 18mths ago. Well it had them being them - not big cook little cook. They're a comedy double act. They were saying fuck and stuff. Was really odd seeing them being regular blokes.

NormaJeanBaker · 07/02/2009 10:14

I love camp little PC Plum. He rocks my world.

Mr Tumble is a bit creepy but I think he's in the right job. Imagine if he were an undertaker or a surgeon.

MrsTittleMouse · 07/02/2009 10:44

bohemian - couldn't agree more about Big Cook. Ho ho!

That must have been Justin's real family on Something Special - he and his sister looked so like their Dad. And the younger brother just like their Mum.

NoBiggy · 07/02/2009 10:50

Daddy

FairLadyRantALot · 07/02/2009 11:22

shake me all you want..I will not tell

NorbertDentressangle · 07/02/2009 11:38

Whoever said that PC Plum was straight seriously needs to get their gaydar checked out!

hairygodmother · 07/02/2009 11:39

Have been giggling away at all your posts. The thought of fancying Justin is a little terrifying but am with some of you - thank goodness for him and Mr Tumble!

Pixiemason - I saw that programme about being ginger (which had the f word in the title if I recall !!) with Little Cook in it and was quite surprised at how rude they were in grownup life, in a filthy swearing kind of way. Not that I object to swearing, of course, but just a bit of a shock when you're used to seeing them laughing on CBeebies in a fake ho ho way. Can you imagine the pitch for Big Cook Little Cook - "There are these two guys who do a filthy double act, they'd be PERFECT for a children's tv programme."

Must also confess to being a secret Captain DJ fan ...

FairLadyRantALot · 07/02/2009 11:41

rofl at Norbert....

Sidge · 07/02/2009 11:47

I am astounded that PC Plum is only 31!

He must have had a rough paper round...
