am I a complete saddo for watching it or does anyone else find it compelling viewing?

I watch! Better than X Factor IMHO but I think they are trying to put more sob stories in which is annoying. They don't need to do that as the american talent is normally so much better than x factor (except leona lewis). I think they're definitely going to put the Osmond boy through, he was a really good singer plus he has the story angle. I can't think who else has stuck out for me so far though...

yes she was good. was it me or was the blonde girl who lost her dad, not very good at all?! She totally wouldn't have been shown if she hadn't got a story. I doubt we'll see her in later rounds.

Ooh, I love this too. Can't remember any names but I thought there were one or two girls who got through based on looks alone, ie, their voices weren't all that. There was one who reminded me of Diana Vickers - so, I'm afraid I hate her already (sorry, christiana, if it's the tattoo girl that you like!).

I thought the Amy Winehouse woman was really annoying as well.

there are a few that i liked. liked the blonde girl who lost her parents and the girl with the tattoo. none of the chaps stood out for me though... yet!

DH and I love watching the beginning eps for the nutters.. I love the nutters.. but I have a very low embaassment threshold so sometimes have to hide behind a pillow..

I'm surprised that no-one has commented on this week's installments yet - personally, I was getting bored with the Bikini girl and Tatiana storylines.

I thought there were some amazing singers, particularly amongst the men, and my faves so far are Danny and Adam - both definites for the top 12 IMO.

not watched this weeks ep yet.. as we sky+'d it then DH didn't feel like watching it.. wil try and watch it later but tend to loose intrest after all the nutters have gone.

Would agree with Danny and Adam - both got phenomenal voices. Hope Danny's best mate makes it as well (Jarmal ??) but not sure he's in quite the same league

Tatiana was so self-obsessed - when she started singing "I wanna go thruuu" after everyone else had stoppped singing, we all cringed and hid behind cushions in our house!

I hope Danny's mate goes through as well, but there's stiff competition amongst the boys. Can't remember too many standout girls, but I'm sure plenty will emerge in the weeks to come.

Talking of nutters, I love the guy with the headband (Norman Gentle), but not sure if his voice is quite good enough.

Do you all think the right people went through this week? I liked Alexis and Danny, but felt ambivalent towards Michael. He's a bit meh.

i think the right ones went through thbh. its a shame for tatyana, but i think she got some bad press in the us. although she sang one of my fave songs beautifully. love alexis. she (along with the dark haired emo lad) is my tip for the final.

I wanted Jackie to go through she was totally mad loved her.. Danny is my fav but hate hate hate that song! .. tatiana is just nuts, I don't think she could have held it together if she got through and if I heard that fake laugh one more time I think my head would explode.

Agree with Alexis and Danny... Michael was ok - got through on his "likeability factor" rather than his talent I suspect. I cringed when Stevie sang - poor girl was awful

I reckon Tatiana should go through (despite being a total nutter !) but just wonder if the judges will put Anoop through because he is likeable and gets a lot of votes (and therefore ££££ for the show)

I LOVE Adam as well and can't wait for Thursday.

I was quite disappointed in Danny last week, thought he was a bit overrated by all the judges except Simon, and I HATE that song as well! He also seemed a bit arrogant, like it was a given he was going to get through. Still one of my faves though.

I also loved Alexis (hadn't really noticed her before) and think she's gonna do well, mainly because the girls seem quite weak this year.

I don't like Adam, he's a bit too much of a drama-queen for me, plus I couldn't stand his rendition of cher's Do you believe, it sounded like a cat crying. I was sad that Jackie Tohn didn't go through but from wikipedia it seems like she's had quite a career anyway so perhaps she doesn't need AI anyway. Who else didn't recognise hardly anyone from the next 12? It seemed odd that I recognised quite a few of the first lot of 12 from the previous rounds yet there's loads in the second lot that I've never seen before - surely they're disadvantaged if the voting public are seeing them sing for the first time?

I thought that too MrsJamin. Nearly all of the first twelve received lots of coverage in the earlier rounds, yet I only recognised a few of the second lot (and I can't think of that many who could be in the third lot iyswim). It must put certain contestants at a disadvantage.

I think the three wildcards should be from any of the three groups (and not one from each, which is what I assume it will be ?)

I agree about not recognising barely anyone from the next 12. The first 12 seemed packed full of strong contestants, eg, I really liked Stephen (sang 'Rock with You' - bad song choice, terrible arrangement) and also Anoop, but neither didn't ever really stand a chance. I thought both were better than Michael who I don't like at all.

I think the three wildcards can be from any group - it would be even better if they brought back Jamar (sp?), who was robbed!

Just remembered that Matt, the Michael Buble lookalike, is in next week's 12 and he's pretty good.
