Me! Me! Me!

Don't forget there's a behind-the-scenes programme on afterwards on BBC3 too.

Hulababy · 26/03/2005 18:49

DH is planning on watching it; he seems quite excited about it!

SeaShells · 26/03/2005 18:51

I never did like Dr.Who when I was younger, but am having to watch it because my ds is all excited about it!

WideWebWitch · 26/03/2005 18:52

WE're going to watch it in a minute.I'm not keen on Billie Piper but we'll see.

GeorginaA · 26/03/2005 19:09

I like the new doctor - definitely phwoar factor

TinaColada · 26/03/2005 19:14

GO AWAY

My dh is a massive Dr Who fan and has been driving me mad about this. It coincides with the kids' wind-down and bedtime routine too so I am going to do it all on my own, so I am seriously pissed off with his priorities.

I have come on MN to get away from it all, and here you are discussing it too.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh.

GeorginaA · 26/03/2005 19:21

Sod the kids - let them hide behind the sofa while you watch it ... this is important!!

GeorginaA · 26/03/2005 19:22

Nice that the beeb have kept the traditional low budget for the baddies

MistressMary · 26/03/2005 19:45

So what did you think then?

OP posts:
wobblyknicks · 26/03/2005 19:48

OMG - I fancy Christopher Eccleston SO much now!!!!

GeorginaA · 26/03/2005 19:50

ME TOO! He's GORGEOUS!

Loved it loved it loved it Stuck to the spirit of the original too with the humour.

wobblyknicks · 26/03/2005 19:51

Definitely - even Billie wasn't quite as rubbish as I expected. But CE was fantastic! If I was her I wouldn't have needed him to ask twice, would have been right in there!!!

wobblyknicks · 26/03/2005 19:52

Just his cheeky grin and accent do it for me!!

GeorginaA · 26/03/2005 19:54

He's a brilliant Doctor. Almost as good as Tom Baker & Peter Davidson...

wobblyknicks · 26/03/2005 19:55

Definitely - almost like a young Tom Baker, excellent!

LGJ · 26/03/2005 19:56

Hated Dr who as a child, but was outnumbered by sister and brother.

That was excellent, bilborough is just awesome, sorry meant the Doctor.

I really really enjoyed that, it is quirky and humorous and I would give Chris E, six weeks to get out of my bed

LGJ · 26/03/2005 19:57

Better than Tom Baker. I always felt that he was reading from a script.

noddyholder · 26/03/2005 19:58

fab!I really hope they beat ant and dec in the ratings as they have david beckham as a guest in the hope of beating doctor who.I am so glad so many of us watched it it is so much better than the usual sat night drivel and if viewers demand better programs and watch them perhaps tv will get better Agree CE is gorgeous and billie is really good looking forward to next weeks

LGJ · 26/03/2005 19:59

Move over Liam Neeson, Christopher Eccleston is back on top of the list.

Read some where that he and Billie Piper got it together, whilst filming, lucky B.

macwoozy · 26/03/2005 20:00

I didn't think I would have the slightest interest in this programme, never watched it as a child, and had no intentions of watching it this time round neither.
But got to admit that whilst my dp was watching I became more and more fascinated with the whole thing. What a great programme, and good humour as well. Only annoying thing was my ds kept wanting explanations for it every 2 mins.

Catbert · 26/03/2005 20:01

"Plenty of planets have a North too!"

PMSL!

I loved it! Just cheesy enough but with enough modern twist to make it interesting too!

I wonder how they will bring back the Daleks...

"Oh no here come the Daleks! Quick everyone - run upstairs!"

FIMAC1 · 26/03/2005 20:02

Is tonights espisode going to be shown again?

LGJ · 26/03/2005 20:04

Well.......... maybe, its gone time travelling, it will be back in 3 million light years

piffle · 26/03/2005 20:04

another who ran from the living room as soon as heard dr who music as a child.
DH refused to not watch it
Cheesy, but I quite liked it
I do adore Chris Eccleston esp from Our Friends in the North...

LGJ · 26/03/2005 20:07
