it does all smack of a bit of a set up- every week someone brings up how Alex didn't get through last time and louis screwed up. So she can sing iike Beyonce/Mariah/Rihanna? Whitney- but she is indistinguishable from most of the other voices (try and pick her out on the hero track- not that outstanding). She seems genuine, and it is awful NOT to want someone with talent to win- but she has hardly go the x- factor.
Neither have Eoghan and JLS. I hate to think what Eoghan will do to Hallelujah when he wins- it's hardly a poppy number, and he's proved how bad he has been on other ballads. JLS need a lot of work, and to get rid of Louis to stand a chance of surviving post winning (if they do). But they look like a group, they have a likeability about them, so i agree, JLS to win!
I personally liked Diana, but for me the final should have had Laura or Austin in it, both of whom went far too soon.
I watched last year and thought the format needed a radical shake up to survive. It definitely needs something now. It's a bit like Americas next top model- someone wins, and then they don't exactly become Kate Moss over night, do they? With a couple of notable exceptions, (Will Young, Leona), the careers of contestants on these shows don't last long
