Anyone watching mum, heroine and me?

It's depressing me so much I may turn it off, but do you really think moving house can lead to your child becoming a heroine addict? It's giving me second thoughts about my life plans now!

they seem so nice - so normal!

myermay · 23/10/2008 21:18

i watched 5 minutes of it - and felt sick and turned it over.

What a very sad life - god they look so ill and pathetic, it terrifies me

Pawslikepaddington · 23/10/2008 21:19

I know, that is what is so scary! I know so many ladies that could be her mum. She has the same name as my dd too, and she was so pretty in the pics

I started watching it, but turned it off as it was too depressing !!

expatinscotland · 23/10/2008 21:24

I used to go out with someone who was a recovering addict and struggled with bipolar disorder. The most brilliant man I've ever known well in all my days.

It changed my life.

expatinscotland · 23/10/2008 21:30

i can sort of see the father's point of view, sadly.

MissisBoot · 23/10/2008 21:38

Bugger - I've just turned over from buzzcocks and forgot this was on -

Can anyone give me a quick run down on the story so far?

NotAnOtter · 23/10/2008 21:39

it is soo depressing

the poor mother head firmly attached to a brick wall

expatinscotland · 23/10/2008 21:40

mum continues enabling junkie daughter, who couldn't care less if mum is there or not aside from the fact that mum often gives her money.

very sad for mum but junkie's in a world of her own, as most are.

MissisBoot · 23/10/2008 21:41

thanks

NotAnOtter · 23/10/2008 21:41

so bloody egocentric

tiredemma · 23/10/2008 21:41

Its very sad and poignant.

My lovely dad has gone through so much because of my brother.

My brother has gone through so much because of drugs.

Utterly depressing.

BlackPussyCat · 23/10/2008 21:41

What was the gut disorder she was born with? Anyone know?

expatinscotland · 23/10/2008 21:43

Gordon Ramsay finally left his own brother to it after nearly 2 decades of support and £300,000 worth of help - including also giving him money for heroin so he would be fit to attend their father's funeral.

NotAnOtter · 23/10/2008 21:44

makes me bloody twitchy just watching

Pawslikepaddington · 23/10/2008 21:45

I don't know but you would think she wouldn't want to harm herself more after going through 10 years of hospitals? God this is so sad, drugs make you so selfish-I don't know how I would cope, her poor mum.

slayerette · 23/10/2008 21:46

expat - you're so right about the enabling! Been watching this for about three minutes and have to turn over. Daughter in a self-obsessed world of her own.

Gordon Ramsay refused to be an enabler any more - good for him.

tiredemma · 23/10/2008 21:47

daughter is very selfish and self centred. Her poor mom.

Pawslikepaddington · 23/10/2008 21:48

I know it is slightly off topic but I would have done anything to have my mum alive when I was her age, I just want to reunite them and make it all better

expatinscotland · 23/10/2008 21:48

his brother's in a Balinese prison.

gordon had sent him to Bali to go to another rehab. instead he was caught with a bunch of junk on him.

then the brother called him wanting a further £6,000 for a lawyer.

Pawslikepaddington · 23/10/2008 21:50

Unbelievable. Poor G.R.

artichokes · 23/10/2008 21:50

£10k in a year . Does she make all that from begging?

tiredemma · 23/10/2008 21:51

prob shoplifting also and her mom

Pawslikepaddington · 23/10/2008 21:54

Wow, you could almost buy a house in 10 years with that! And yet she is homeless.

OP posts:
NotAnOtter · 23/10/2008 21:54
