Ok so it's coming to an end tonight on FX and no one knows where that is BUT have been merrily one-clicking on Amazon and boxed sets arriving on door mat (sorry no xmas prezzies for anyone this year).
Finished series 3 last night and due to various plans dp and me not in front of TV together till Thursday.
How will I get through?
It is SO unbelievably brilliant I urge all of you to bankrupt yourselves immediately and watch it.
Then can we talk?

I luuuurrrvveee it - I have finished series four, we are waiting for our mates with money to buy (today!) and then let us watch series five.

I am bit bereft at the thought of it going finishing

who is your favourite and least favourite characters?

I have a huge crush on Omar (I'm sure he would swing for me!)

and I love bubbles and Kima and Mcnulty and Brodie and Bunk oh it could go on and on

My least favourites have to be Ziggy and Herc and snoop...

we're in the middle of series 3 at the moment - could watch it every night.

McNulty is v. nice indeed

I also really like Rhonda Pearlman and the other women in it - good strong role models IYKWIM.

Series 5 landed in our house tonight Am praying that DS goes off to sleep alright so we can watch uninterrupted! Truly The Wire is the best tv ever.

I agree geekgirl - though my only criticism of the show is the too few women in it, but the ones they have are ace.

I love the way the characters are so rounded no one is the obvious bad or good one (apart from marlow with his heart of stone)

I agree- it is the greatest show ever on tv. partner and i are watching last episode of s5 on fx tonight. Can't believe it's nearly over forever

Have seen all 5 series and I love it.

Thought the last episode was excellent, just enough so that you knew where everyone was at without too many neat endings.

Have watched some series twice, it certainly bears re-watching!
