WHAT?! No one as obsessed with The Wire as me??

Ok so it's coming to an end tonight on FX and no one knows where that is BUT have been merrily one-clicking on Amazon and boxed sets arriving on door mat (sorry no xmas prezzies for anyone this year).
Finished series 3 last night and due to various plans dp and me not in front of TV together till Thursday.
How will I get through?
It is SO unbelievably brilliant I urge all of you to bankrupt yourselves immediately and watch it.
Then can we talk?

Did anyone else notice Clay Davis pop up in Enchanted? Kept expecting him to say 'shhheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet', very disconcerting!

If anyone has the DVD box sets, would recommend the commentaries.

DH has considered - he likes Slim Charles, Prop Joe, Stringer Bell. I liked D, Stringer, and loved Bodie.

.... but I have to often stop and listen again to some bits...once we repeat the same 3 lines about 10 times before we got it ... the shame

Characters, ladies, characters... I liked Stringer the businessman - couldn't understand how he didn't just ditch Avon, mind. Read Freakonomics around the same time, which made it v. interesting. Are all characters called Avon evil, btw?

it might^ be going okay... dd2 has a wee cold though so that's been hampering us a bit. i've to get her weighed in the hospital on wed, they'll soon tell us to get back on teh formula top-ups i'm sure.

I don't find Clay sexually attractive, I hasten to add. There's something irrepressible about his character that makes me smile despite myself though, even though he's so corrupt. And of course the "sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeit!"s are all good too.
