I love it.

I am not ashamed to say that i will get totally involved- even though i am too old.

Lets count how many times Louis Walsh says 'westloife'
Watch Simon Cowell look bored rigid.
They will put through a 70 year- just for fun
They will tell a 14 year old she is the next Mariah Carey- and then not put her in the finals- FOR BEING TOO YOUNG!
Everyone one will 'own the song, and make it their own'
or- 'that was a really poor song choice- i blame Louis'
A group WILL NOT WIN.
Marvel at the really poor sob stories!
About half a dozen audtionees will sing 'Valerie/you're beautiful'
Watch Cheryl Cole waste away before our very eyes (how skinny is she????)

I need to get out more

Roll on Saturday!!!

Oh tippy....you mean ole' thing.

just let him win anyway.

apart from leona I#m sure sure any of them have been much good so he'll be alright.

Raahh · 07/09/2008 11:43

finally watched this properly- omg, the husband and wife were so cringy!!

loved the old man with the spoons-and Simon saying 'the noise! the noise!'
And 'mums on the run' were just terrible- what were they wearing!

o.k, so the bloke at the end had an o.k voice, and i did sniffle, but he didn't have the strongest voice. I hope he does well, though.

I was still laughing about the husband and wife though at the end. They were so scary....i bet they go swinging

I dont think the guy at the end was the best singer there, I dont think he will go far unless he gets the sympathy vote

very very sad though

cyteen · 13/09/2008 11:53

So I am looking forward to this again tonight Watching X-Factor with a glass of wine seems like the height of excitement these days!

I did think they took the piss a little too much with the incidental music last week though - was a bit annoyed at the spoon man being soundtracked with the theme from Steptoe & Son.

cyteen · 13/09/2008 11:54

Also agree that blonde spiky hairdo bloke only got put through because of his (genuinely very sad) sob story.

Raahh · 13/09/2008 20:12

I am looking forward to this, but will again have to watch it late, as my tv is currently being used for Wii fit training

getting a bit tired of the recurring contestants, though. They said no. Go home. Do NOT come back next year.

How many more weeks before Boot Camp? Someone must know!

Raahh · 13/09/2008 21:50

it does feel like the audition stage is going on a bit, doesn't it?

OP posts:
kid · 13/09/2008 21:52

Didn't they say next week was the last of the auditions?

Some good singers this week, some terrible singers too

anniebear · 14/09/2008 11:42

I think the song was by Faith Hill.
I sooo don't want to like Cheryl Cole, but she does seem very warm and lovely...gah!
