was watching 6th sense on itv2 (so it serves me right I suppose on two counts) and it was for Orangina, of all things .

It was possibly the most grotesque, macabre, genuinely frightening set of images and ideas I've ever seen in a advert.

anyone know what I'm on about?

juice porn - really! just a daft advert.

TwoIfBySea · 10/08/2008 15:54

And that would make someone want to drink Orangina would it?

Cause there aren't enough freaky animal/human hybrids around.

MmeLindt · 10/08/2008 16:14

Yes, that really made me want to run to the shops and stock up on Orangina

I thought that the bear had a willy too.

I would have loved to have been present at the ad presentation.

Smarmy Ad agency man: We have got the most fabulous idea...

Orangina Executive: Yes, animal porn with exploding bottles, that will get the sales of Orangina hitting the roof.

belcantavinissima · 10/08/2008 16:19

oooh that is sexy. may have to go and have a cold shower

LittleMissBliss · 10/08/2008 16:21

that's so weird. But it's much more interesting than most adverts.

SirDigbyChickenCaesar · 10/08/2008 16:21

i knew it was going to that orangina ad before i even opened the thread!
DH and I saw it the other night. we were like this and very [bleurg]

QOD · 10/08/2008 16:23

It looks like it's promoting beastiality to be honest.

Chandra · 10/08/2008 16:23

It reminds me of the BAcardi ads... I think that as long as it is passed after 9, it is OK?

Chandra · 10/08/2008 16:24

Now... It has put me off of Orangina!

olympicsnotfederer · 10/08/2008 16:50

MY EYES!

Sooo weird and disturbing but then so were many of the comments posted about it on the YouTube site.

What is a "furry". ??

On second thoughts, perhaps i don't want to know...

LaTrucha · 10/08/2008 16:55

The golden showers moments are quite special, aren't they? ANd the exploding orangina breasts.

Can yoiu imagine the pitch meeting? We have to watch out for whoever made the pitch. If they can persuade anyone that was a good idea, they could well take over in a well-planned coup.

MatNanPlus · 10/08/2008 16:59

What has that advert got to do with a fizzy orange soft drink...the mind boggles, what was wrong with

Shake the Bottle to wake the Drink i ask you???

LaTrucha · 10/08/2008 17:05

All I can think of is a coke-fuelled binge the night befroe the pitch.

SheikYerbouti · 10/08/2008 17:05

Very odd

Orangina is a shithouse drink anyway

Moomin · 10/08/2008 18:00

Oh god, these posts have made me realise that it is actually based on porn!

watersports
orgies
'furries'

Nice one, advertising company, so we can all visualise ourselves drinking fizzy piss next time we drink orangina.

never again!

PMSL

I thought it was funny,

not scary!

olympicsnotfederer · 10/08/2008 19:19

I still don't know what a "furry" is....

theyoungvisiter · 10/08/2008 19:37

furries are people who find dressing up as animals a turn on - and like to have sex with other people dressed up as animals. Read an article about it in a Sunday colour supplement a couple of months ago... Nowt as queer as folk and all that...

Well, I can't say I found the ad scary or particularly disturbing but it definitely didn't make me want to drink orangina, and it seems like they are appealing to a very select segment of the population. There can't be that many people out there who find the idea of being shagged by a bear a turn on, can there?

theyoungvisiter · 10/08/2008 19:41

Correction to my last post - actually I do seem to remember that the article was very particular about insisting it wasn't always sexual - some people just like dressing up as animals for purely social reasons - there's doesn't have to be anything naughty about it. But there sometimes is.

Still very odd either way, most people grow out of that particular urge at about the age of 8.

DillyTanty · 10/08/2008 19:43

i think it's hilarious, if a little niche.

MARGOsBeenPlayingWithMyNooNoo · 10/08/2008 19:52

I think it was commissioned by Hugh Heffner

JuneBugJen · 10/08/2008 19:54

WTF!!!

Cammelia · 10/08/2008 20:12

Drugs were definitely involved in the thinking up of that one

olympicsnotfederer · 10/08/2008 20:16

thankyou tyv

ThatBigGermanPrison · 10/08/2008 21:12

It's growing on me. I love the detail, the tiny little people/animals at the end.
