Welcome to the EastEnders spoilers thread, where we post and talk about any EE spoilers we've read about, including those in early release episodes on iPlayer.

Link below to watch episodes on BBC iPlayer - these are usually dropped at 6am on broadcast days - and you can read brief synopses of upcoming episodes:

Thanks for the new thread.

I agree the character write up of Ned doesn’t make sense. We will just have to see how it plays out.

the80sweregreat · 11/10/2026 21:43

Thank you south!
Nice new thread for October spoilers.
I agree that Ned hasn’t been written well at all up to now.

Alucard55 · 11/10/2026 21:47

Thank you!

murasaki · 11/10/2026 21:49

Checking for tomorrow's lunacy. Thanks for the new thread!

the80sweregreat · 11/10/2026 21:54

Hello, yes , a new week looms.
More blackmail and depression from Kat.. might be a tough one to get through everyone !

Luckily I have a load of choc chip cookies in tomorrow's delivery shop. Hopefully I cam make it through....

the80sweregreat · 11/10/2026 22:17

murasaki
if we all hold hands and sing kum ba ya ( or however it’s spelt ) we can get through it. I need to shop and buy some biscuits as well!

Meredusoleil · 12/10/2026 03:43

Thanks for the new thread South.

I'm really only half watching EE these days. The plot lines are so absurd, it's making me disinterested.

I mean this latest Lee and Nancy one wtaf?!? Poor Jess getting involved in that nightmare scenario.

Shellingbynight · 12/10/2026 08:22

Thank you for the new thread @Southeastdweller

I agree I don't think Jamie Bamber will be around long term. They are throwing so much at him quickly he'll crash and burn.

We know how Wadey loves duplicating plots (we're still going through wrong daddy x 2) so I wouldn't be surprising if he is going with closeted dad ashamed of gay son. I can't think why else Ned would be so vehemently homophobic.

The one thing you can say about Wadey is he's entirely predictable.

LateLifeReturnee · 12/10/2026 08:45

The gay son storyline is just not landing for me at all. Maybe because my own son didn't really have a coming out story beyond us acknowledging he was gay around 14/15. Finding out he was bisexual a few years later wasn't a big deal either.

Trained counselor who is able to almost magically cure Ian can't recognise and have compassion for gay son? He never dealt with a gay soldier?

I know, indeed have known, some parents that couldn't recognise their own children problems while helping others, but this just doesn't land right.

Spoiler - Watching the pub scene this morning was just cringey. Maybe that's the big new angle, homophobic foitballers.

LateLifeReturnee · 12/10/2026 08:47

And Lauren and Mark - just want to shake her. Again, makes no sense to me. But I don't find the actor that plays Mark that attractive, or the storyline believable.

Shellingbynight · 12/10/2026 08:51

I agree with both your posts @LateLifeReturnee
I don't find Mark attractive and the actor is mediocre. I don't see any chemistry with Lauren.
And with both the Lauren and Ryder storylines, they desperately want to conceal what they are doing, yet do it in the square near 20 billion people who know them.

LateLifeReturnee · 12/10/2026 09:04

Good to know I'm not the only one.

Amy's storyline is solid though really upsetting. Probably the best thing they have got going right now.

Some time ago Ben Wadey chose Ryder actor to be nominated for best newcomer at the soap awards.

it didn’t make any sense at the time but it’s obvious now that Ryder and the wider Hawkins Family are going to be big news in future storylines 😭😭😭😭🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈😭😭😭😭😭
tbh Ned seems a good actor and probably an evil character but the rest of them can get in the bin, keep the originals and bring back teddy jumpers.
all the gay hate from Ned and the coach feels so outdated, perhaps I’m naive and mix in more tolerant circles but I am shocked a coach of young people would display such blatant homophobia

I find him hot as hell but then I’ve always had terrible taste in men.
just to quantify, despite my historically awful taste in men, I’m not sure even I could hack a guy who walks around in a vest all the time.

TurquoiseDreamCatcher · 12/10/2026 09:24

Thanks for the new thread.

i quite like seeing Nancy back, it’s a shame it is for an awful story line.

The whole Ryder coming out is too much, not all gay people “come out,” it’s such a 90s/00s thing where as now society is far more accepting.

the80sweregreat · 12/10/2026 09:24

Mark is handsome , but he knows it and not the faithful sort either , so I think you wouldn’t always have the best relationship with him! Also a player. Lauren is mad to get involved with him, but she has those Branning genes!

Southeastdweller · 12/10/2026 10:07

The scene at the Vic with the coach was clunky, and as subtle as a brick.

OP posts:
Eastie77Returns · 12/10/2026 10:09

I have to admit, I think Mark is extremely hot and has a lovely smile. I don't think he has particulary great chemistry with Lauren but she is so moany and screechy I think anyone would struggle with her. He would make a good pairing with someone like Chelsea but she deserves better than yet another player after all shes' been through.

Not sure I can be bothered to watch today's episode. It's all so disappointing and drab at the moment.

MyWildOliveGoose · 12/10/2026 11:14

So from the spoilers, Ned blackmails Mark over the whole Lauren thing. If he’s the one who was in the Slaters’ today.. that’s absolutely ridiculous lol he didn’t have a key, no one mentioned him getting a key or having a viewing or anything.

MyWildOliveGoose · 12/10/2026 11:18

I should have waited 2 minutes lol utterly ridiculous.

Him creeping around and happening to come upstairs quietly etc is mad, and ingratiating himself so quickly in the square, it seems unbelievable, but there really are untrustworthy people who ingratiate themselves super fast but do they do it and then start blackmailing people ?

Jeans bedroom is downstairs, next to the kitchen. Still though, it is all abit silly isn’t it. He says they didn’t lock the door but we all know the slaters house needs a key to get into it like most UK front doors lol lazy writtiiinnnngggg once again. They’re forcing the whole new family on us and I don’t like it.

the80sweregreat · 12/10/2026 12:12

Someone the other week mentioned doors being locked or some other comment that made me think ‘ no they don’t !’
Haven’t seen it yet , but honestly the spying that goes on and unlocked doors is ridiculous and they need cctv too.

the80sweregreat · 12/10/2026 12:59

Can’t believe that Lauren and Mark would leave the door open like that. Complete madness isn’t it and only across the road from her husband as well ! Shameless
How does Ned think he’ll get a mortgage after what they did to the old house. He gave Nicola a lot of money , where’s the rest coming from ? That house must be worth a fortune.
