I managed to close off the last thread without realising and couldn’t see a new one, so here you go!

Thanks all. I've had a chronic cough for more than 6 months. Loads of tests and scans. They think it's asthma but 4 different inhalers thus far haven't worked. Starting a new one plus other meds this week and more tests next month. Quality of life currently shite and not being able to do lots of things, such as go to Davis Cup, is crap. To say I'm fed up is an understatement!!!

DS and DH currently en route to Stratford. I did suggest they buy a Union Jack bucket hat each but they didn't seem keen

Hope your DS and DH enjoy ice Neal* *and Henry really should not lose DS said they are obliged to play at least one dead rubber but that would mean perhaps Wendelken would play, rather than Arthur, who is the scheduled 4th match.

Brazil beat Switzerland, so that's the end of Stan's Davis Cup career.

I hope you feel better soon- Kazza. You have my sympathies. I've had a chronic cough since Christmas- and I've had all sorts of tests- the gastroscopy was fun. (was more worried about my teeth to be honest).
I sound like I smoke 60 a day.
The worst party is my total lack of bladder control [tmi].

Sorry to hear about that Kazza. My DIL has a chronic cough but hers has been put down to allergies.

What a coincidence kazza,, I am in quite a similar situation with an unexplained cough that isn't responding to inhalers. I'm really fed up, and it's only been 2 months for me.

Hope all the coughers get better!

The only positive is that since my cancer and now because I turned 60 in March, I don't pay for prescriptions. Between my cancer and asthma and allergy drugs, I'd be paying about £80 a month which really would be rubbing salt into the wound!! Here's hoping we all improve!!

It's a common mistake to call it unfinished Symphony-which I suppose the title is a play on . I think the team on the show did too.

I also spent ages yelling 'it's a McEnroe quote!' at the tvv .

Tight match in the BJK Cup. Kartal has just taken the 2nd set vs Bouzkova.

It is nice to see Sonay back. The Czech team will be tough to beat.

Bouzkova couldn't serve it out, and Sonay has broken back to get on serve.

Sonay did well for her first match back, against a higher ranked opponent. It's such a tough draw for GB. I have a feeling the other matches will be more straightforward for the Czechs.

It really is a tough tie. I think the Czechs are the probably the favourites on paper this year.

I wasn't able to watch, but it's good that Sonay is back, even if it was always going to be an uphill battle to beat the Czechs.

Linda Noskova is off to a flying start against Katie Boulter- who seems to be struggling with her serve a bit.

Barbora Kreijikova has just finally wrapped up her match in Singapore (she's not part of the BJK squad, I expect they have a lot of players to choose from!). She won the first set 6-0- but the next 2 sets were hard fought.
