Well seeing as I did the threads last year I might as well kick things off again for 2026 now that the first teaser trailer has dropped.

I’m guessing we’ll get 2 women and 1 man as the initial Traitors and hoping the Secret Traitor has been binned.

Will the Big Dog Theory come back? Will we get another Nick/Joe style bromance?

No broadcast date yet, but last year they timed it to conclude over Halloween, so I’m guessing a mid-October start as before.

Oo the comedian clique! (I betcha we have a group of comedians hanging out together).

There are more comedians this time.

Last season you had Alan Carr, Nick Mohammed and Joe Wilkinson. They may have worked together but they really don't cover a lot of the same space.

This time:

And I'd add
Miranda Hart to that list tbh.

There's a LOT of common ground there.

James Blunt, Richard E Grant and Michael Sheen sound like an interesting combo! They'd be fab to have round for dinner together.

Jerry Hall is going to be interesting. I am struggling to imagine her having a good old chinwag and relationship with half of the cast! Not an obvious fit and that's why I am looking forward. I think she can be funny.

There's the Game of Thrones Duo too. That could be an interesting pair.

Agree re the Comedian clique. Surely the assumption is that either Rob or Romesh will be a Traitor - even if they aren’t, that’s the way the psychology of these things goes so they’ll both be suspicious of each other and everyone will be suspicious of them.

I want a Bromance between James Blunt and Ross Kemp.

Amol Rajan is the interviewee on this week’s Political Currency podcast and he does mention the show saying he loved doing it and that Claudia is amazing.

The Blunt / Kemp army thing will be interesting.

Bizarrely I just read the list of celebs to DH. His first response was "Well one of rob or romesh will be a traitor then".

I’m really looking forward to this. I’m expecting James Blunt to be a hoot.

My money is on Romesh or Richard to win.

It’s interesting, and good, how many of the celebrities I recognise - in contrast to the celebrities in this year’s Strictly.

There are so many I like watching so I look forward to seeing them interact.

Marking! Too many comics. Where are the sportspeople?

Saw the trailer for this yesterday. V excited. The thing I love most about The Traitors is that it's impossible to predict how it's going to play out. The finale last year was epic!

Ooooh hadn’t seen this yet - that looks a promising line up! I think celebrity things are much better when you know a good chunk of them before watching it.

Oh dear. Amol & Miranda: two people who can make me change channel. I love The Traitors so I’ll have to steel myself. Michael Sheen gets on my wick sometimes too.

Otherwise it looks good & King Henry is the only one that I haven’t heard of.

I wonder whether Ross Kemp will go all SAS in the physical tasks.

Reporting that Celeb Traitors may be starting on 23 September.

Richard Osman mentioned the date at the “Rest Is Fest” over the weekend but the BBC are refusing to comment.

Guess we will find out soon.

I think James Acaster will just cause chaos! Intentionally or not!

Looking forward to it . Agree that there is quite a lot of comedians and no sportspeople . Did also think there weren’t that many young people - but probably as many as the last time .
I am looking forward to Claudia’s wardrobe and which factions form . The first season was so good , I am almost afraid to watch the second season as don’t think it will live up to the really high bar set by the first .

Ah but we said the same thing about “regular” Traitors and look what S2 gave us there - Mad Paul, Ross and Diane, etc.

I loved the last series but Joe Lycett is enough to make me switch off. Also Michael Sheen, not keen.

Me neither but I love Maya Jama & Julie Hesmondalgh so I’m looking forward to it.

Richard Osman said on today’s TRIE podcast that he was joking when he said Celeb Traitors 2 is out on 23 Sept.

damn! I hope he's just covering his ass.
