I agree they have not handled Joel's return very well. All the focus is on the other teens and especially Amy. Joel has had very little to do in his own storyline. I think he has 'reformed' but I hope he isn't just going to be Mr Nice Guy as that is a waste of his talents.

Maybe Joel will ‘ rescue’ Amy from Craig and redeem himself a bit? Just seen a trailer for the new family and Ned looks a bit of a hard man sort. Jumpers mentioned him. He looks trouble.

I will really despair if Amy is groomed. Virtually every single female character has been abused, beaten, exploited, married to a murderer etc.

It's one thing to shine a light on the issues girls and women face but it starts to feel misogynistic when every woman is a down trodden victim at some point.

Eastie, we often agree and I do about this too. It’s all been featured before and rarely covered well.

But surely his mask will slip no? Or has he been reprogrammed off incel stuff when inside?

It’s a very cheap easy storyline if she is groomed. Like when the tutor/teacher of one of the teens, who was it, focused on Stacey? Became so dramatic and then he was caught and gone.

There’s been no advance publicity about Amy being groomed so that makes me think she isn’t.

Barney never said he hit Joel, he said he found the hammer and thought Avani had hit Joel so hid it.

I’m pretty convinced now, as I said before that Penny is going to have a blood clot.. or pre-eclampsia- as she said about the swollen leg. Peter was not the right person to ask bless him lol I’m surprised he remembers anything about Lauren’s pregnancies 🤣🤣

I’m only half way through but Cindy saying to Priya “atleast Max Branning didn’t keep you up all night made me choke on my laugh” 🤣

Ahh. Thanks for the Barney clear up there. I do watch every episode, but I often zoom out!
So, Priya is with child! Dearie me. Who’s the daddy ? My money is on Max tbh.

Maybe Ronnie and Roxy’s mother was pregnant when she first ran away, Craig is the result. Larry’s son. The writer is creating doubt so doing something right.

Ravi is such a waste of space. I feel sorry for Priya. She’s going to take him back, the fool.

We knew Priya was pregnant before she did😆 We’re not going to have many surprises on NYD are we.

And the show is running duplicate who’s the daddy pregnancies where the fathers are a different skin colour so paternity is likely to be evident. I am still hoping for twins, a hairless ginger kitten and a buff dusky hunk.

Is Penny really that dim that she can’t google swollen leg in pregnancy.

It was Theo who was Freddie's teacher , he became obsessed with Stacey and was her Number One Fan

Penny annoys me. She finds Vinny annoying, but he is taking an interest and invested. How many men are really ( esp in Walford ) She should be pleased he whats to know.

Can't do with Vicki being all pally with Joel. When she was going come sit on the sofa I nearly shouted he left you for dead.

Why is Max even marrying Cindy? He's at a point in his life where he can shag who he wants. No wife or girlfriend, his children are grown ups, successful (dodgy) business. Absolutely no reason for him to marry a woman who is incredibly irritating.

Just got back from holiday and binged the last 2 weeks worth of EE. Phew!

Love the fact Nic is getting lots of screen time, but not sure about her family yet. Their entrance was farcical and stupid, and the sisters have given some ropey performances so far.

The copper grooming Amy is creeping me right out.

What happened to Gray after Ian stabbed him? I must’ve missed it somehow. Does this mean Ian’s going to get a hard man rep in prison now? Top dog Beale!

Poor Kat looked like Adam Ant tonight with the hair and glitzy jacket.

So…pregnant-in-real-life Priya is now pregnant-in-EE-world? Bet she will be glad when she can put that massive tote bag down and go on real mat leave.

I don't know why Max wants to settle down either . He's hardley the monogamous type !

Him and Cindy have a very intertwined past indirectly.
Her son ( Steven) was Dad to AJ (Abbie Junior)
Her son (Steven) was going out with Lauren at the same time
Max had a fling with Lucy ( Cindy's daughter)
Lucy's twin Pet-ah is married to Lauren

There is waaaay too much over lapping there ! Doing their family tree will give you a migraine 😄,

Also, is Jumpers coming back?! Seems a lot of effort to go to to get him back on screen for that short call with George.

And where is AJ anyway? With Tanya?

I forgot about Max and Lucy! God, that makes Max & Cindy (or Sid & Nancy as I am now calling them) pretty grim 🤢

DD and I always play "How Are You Two Related"!? when we watch .
I think the best two are Kaff and Sharon

Then.....Sharon's half brother Zac was having a thing with her adoptive Dad's daughter (Dirty Den is Vicky's Dad)
And Sharon's ex Husband Grant is Dad to Mark who is trying to have a th8ng with Kaffs grandsons wife ( Lauren)
Sharon was engaged to Lauren s Uncle Jack

I will miss the next three weeks of EastEnders so when I return to the screen :
The teen drama will be sorted
Howie and Kim will be married
Ravi might be gone
Will Zoe be gone too?
Will Sean be back?
Will Cindy have plans for revenge on Max ( she has a nice flat to live in now, not sharing in Dots Mausoleum looking after Jimmy and putting up with Oscar's untidy ways). She just swans about now with wedding magazines .

@BitLippie Gray is still in hospital, either surviving or not surviving. Kathy doesn't seem bothered about Ian does she!

Poor Priya is in self destruct mode between Max and Ravi.

Pennie is probably being stroppy living in limbo not knowing who the father is. Well she knows, but it’s not the man she’s living with.
I want to see her to be well after having the baby. I hope they don’t miss an opportunity for a great storyline.
Ah, Ravi. It’s a tough call for Priya to trust him again.
Do you think Joel knows it was Amy who hit him.
