Harry and Gina transferred money from the bar to the restaurant to keep it afloat when they were looking after things just after Ivy was born.

My goodness that woman Rose, Nicola's mum, is the biggest bitch ever 😳 No wonder Nicola is the way she is with a mother like that! I think I would have moved as far away as possible and cut all contact in her situation. Gemma is also enabling things and Jodie, well she's just another bit part 🤷

Zoe hits her head apparently, but I don’t think it’s to do with the sign. I feel the sign was more of a prophecy about the state of the pub in general. I’d be upset if my dh wanted a random to stay over because he knew him years ago ! No wonder Kat looked murderous.
i wonder if rose knows Nicola was involved with Shireen’s death ? Hmm, that might come out and Harry kind of hinted he hasn’t forgiven her for whatever went on there.

Genma reminds me of Tina Carter. Dizzy, wants to see the best in people and she used to wind Shirley up.

I agree the new family is pretty awful, though I do think it's interesting to see Nicola's mum and how truly evil she is, especially as we know some of the story from what Nic has said to George. To see someone unapologetically being so deliberately nasty to Nic does make you sympathise with Nic a lot.

The mother is really evil. Aunt babe was the same, but she played her well and I feel that the mum in this will just be evil and nothing else going on , no other side to her. Nicola still killed Shireen though , so she isn’t entirely innocent ( and passed off Barney as Teddys boy for years ) but we have sympathy for her because of her mum.

I actually really like Nicola. I don’t know why but I do, I have from the beginning. I think her character development has just been fab, a bit like Suki and I love her too. I like the soft side to her relationship with Gemma. Not sure how they’re broke and homeless when her husband is supposed to have quite a fancy job. I’m sure all will be explained, the Wadey way.

I don’t dislike Nicola either. She isn’t perfect, but she plays the part well and had her issues.
I think the new family will blend in , but it’s sad it’s all so chaotic and rushed.

The mum seems quite one dimensional. The actress is playing her well and if it was a Bond film fine, but she needs to be able to interact with people without being sarky all the time.

In can't be arsed with people like that in real life. I think how empty and unhappy they must be to put so much energy into trying to bring other people down.

The husband is a bit Creepy Craig with the Simon Cowell trousers. Absolutely cannot stand either of the sisters. Don't know their names but one is all oh look at me I'm so kooky and daft. The other is all rolling eyes and I told you so. Horrible.

It doesn't make sense that the mum would be horrible to everyone she meets, it makes her one dimensional and boring. It was supposed to be Nic's dad who was the bad 'un, but they are playing it that Rose is just as bad.

Agree. Just going about with contempt for everyone becomes very boring.

All new families make a big, cringey entrance. The knights, carters and taylors did. They calm them down eventually, but it's unnecessary really.

I knew someone like Rose in real life. She was just nasty and picky and hard to please and had that superior personality. She didn’t wear such awful clothes though !

Considering Genma said today that Ned had been in the army , I’m surprised that he didn’t sort out Megan’s boyfriend. Why leave it to the others ? Unless they deliberately keep it all back from him.

I think Rose is the best actor of the newcomers.

Ned is annoyingly smug. Gemma is annoyingly ditzy, and rushes her lines (as far as I recall she was a decent actress in Holby City days, so may be she will settle into it).

The bad driving (twice!) was super cringey.

Rose was in ‘ trying ‘ and was good in that. Not a huge part, but a similar character. She seems the old school type actress.

They all seem to rush their lines I noticed. Maybe it’s a quick turn around for them and they can’t afford to mess it up too much !

Who was in the picture that George picked up?

I think it was George as a child with his biological dad?

Just watched. They are awful.

Pryia's bag is working overtime.

Jodie will become bit part ( like Kojo ) and Genma the new Tina and Ned the voice of reason.
Rose will annnoy everyone and the son will probably try it on with someone or be ‘a sexual. ‘ Not sure what age his meant to be though.

I can’t see the six of them staying for years. Either Ryder or Megan will probably be the first to leave.

Blimey those Hawkins are annoying.

I agree they will be thinned out. The sooner the better!

The only scenes I liked today were the ones with Priya-Ravi-Nugget-Max etc. Therapy Ravi dispensing wisdom like Yoda.😆 Even Nugget was quite funny. Priya's bag really is working overtime!

We haven’t seen Megan yet, but I agree that she won’t last long or the tied up boyfriend will rock up and whisk her away.
