I also liked Darnell but he’s bound to have some skeletons in his closet. I wonder how long the gap will be of him quitting his teaching job in Wood Green to finding a job at Walford High? One week? A couple of days?!

Darnell mentioned a teenager daughter , so I suppose she’ll be another newbie at some stage. Maybe a new Chelsea type! He must live close by , so he may hang around. Agree that getting new jobs is always easy in soaps. Certainly easier than in real life.

@Shellingbynight I've definitely zoned out of the Joel thing too. We can just fill in the blanks with an overcomplicated convoluted thing happened.

What a creepy bastard Craig is. Definitely getting the Reiss thing. Max and Cindy laughing at the possibility of Ian being best man.

Max does seem better suited to Cindy than Priya.

Nigel’s Julie hardly went to work there ! She only did one or two days ! Lol

So I was wrong about Craig not grooming Amy. In today’s episode he bought her some alcoholic drinks and later they kissed. I’m surprised the BBC didn’t put any publicity about it as she’s still only 17. I agree with @Shellingbynight that Jack is going to find himself in a pickle.

You could really tell where the story was headed when Craig conveniently bumped into Amy at some café in yesterday's episode! All the: Denzel's just a boy. I'm a real man. You're an old soul really. You can't get served alcohol etc. It's basically setting Amy up for a challenge that she is willing to rise to whilst also distracting her from Denzel, Dee, Dad all at the same time.

Awful manipulation tactics from an obvious child predator...shame no-one else can see what he's doing and Amy is getting sucked in, just like he planned for her to 😕

Hopefully Amy will wake up soon and tell him to do one.
I hate grooming stories. Too much of it goes on irl :(

Oh no don't say that, it is so nice having a new character who is is a pleasant normal human being, with no dark secrets! It was convenient he only lives nearby, what are the chances eh.

I still don't know why Jack immediately thought he'd be on the police database - and why he was.

He is wearing Libby glasses but he is a much better actor than her. And more cheerful!

A physics teacher is very niche for EE isn’t it.
Makes a change from being an ex crim, drug dealer or dodgy car salesman.

I don’t know anything about law enforcement but always thought the police could search for anyone on one of their databases regardless of whether or not they’d committed a crime. The same way they can just run a check on any registered car?

It is a sackable offence to do so without reason though so I agree with a PP that Craig will work it out and hold it over Jack and Jack. He should have just turned on the charm with the female officer who fancies him and got her to do it lol.

Jack has done dodgy stuff before and got away with it.
This time he may not be so lucky ( maybe loses his job once and for all ?) Might be why his so down NYD and Dee is off.

I didn't know anything about the Darnell actor, South, that explains why he's so good.

A physics teacher is niche isn't it. Teachers have been a mixed bunch. There was Ava, Cora's daughter, who as far as I remember was nice? But then of course Theo, who very much wasn't!

Then we've got Ned who is ex military and a PTSD therapist. Also niche.

I think Darnell's wife may be dead or has been ill like Dee, as his reaction to her in the hospital was quite extreme. Definitely some hospital related trauma for him there!

Mostly lurk on here so sorry if this has been mentioned already - I read this morning that Darnell could be the husband of the woman that recently died (Dee’s friend in hospital) and also speculated that the donor could be the male nurse / porter (rubbish with names).

But he was still able to pull strings in the NYD flash forward, he was also watching the interview and had info on the case despite his brother being the suspect. I don’t think Jack’s job is at risk at all.

does Alfie lose them the vic by using it in a bet with one of Nicolas lot? I know technically it’s Stacey’s but businesses change hands easy in EE like when Cathy bought the cafe for a pound.

Im loving Priya and Jean but how on earth will they explain how big priyas bump is as the actress must be further along than the character?
