Agree that Max should tell Cindy the engagement is off and just play the field. He really is a nightmare and right under everyone’s nose. It is ridiculous and people would see them.

Half brothers

Oh are they half brothers? I wasn’t sure of the family connections.

Max is having it off with Priya because he’s Max and that’s what Max does.

Both Billy and Teddy have the same father but different mothers. So they are brothers from another mother 🙃

@BitLippie Really? I think she’s as scary as Honey’s granny style cardigan. It could have been a better story with a better actress. It really was amateur hour today, with that silly story.

Bea is not terrifying. I’m sure Stella was.

Although it seems that Honey saves the day eventually ( after being kidnapped by Bea ) so it’s coming to an end soon and probably won’t be as dramatic as it sounds!

Phil was going through a soft phase and Peggy liked her at first.

Yep, partly because the writing was so much better. Over a few months we saw her grooming Ben before manipulating him and emotionally and physically abusing him. She even fooled Phil! The story ran for nearly a year. Also a really good actress was used (Sophie Thompson) who could do nuance and make her horrible character human.

Stella was deffo not Philth's type but I think he just wanted a step mother for Ben. And she was clever . She was a Lawyer but they're all a bit odd on the Square:

Sheila(I'm sure she said she was a lawyer)

Nadine ( escort , fake pregnancy)
Stella
Ritchie (no life of her on at Phils beck&call)
Marcus (did the dirty on Sam)

How the Jeff can there be so much blood from a joint unless you slaughter the animal yourself?

I;m ambivilent to drag , I don't hate it ,but I wouldn't go out of my way to watch it . (Though on Feminism Board they are not at all in favour !)

Grey looked a right scruff when we first saw him in prison but he scrubbed up ok -well he washed and combed his hair !

The fake ‘ditsy, kooky but sweet’ persona, the baby voice, the self pity (people always bully me, boo hoo, poor me!) ….but actually a complete psycho who will burn down your house and make out she is the victim.

Granted, Ronnie Ancona hasn’t played her that well - too hammy - but that type (to me) is terrifying!

Some drag acts can be funny. I understand why people don’t like it, but I thought La voix was good.

On a completely separate note, was it Phil who had the girlfriend who I think was Romanian (?) and in the UK illegally or had been trafficked or maybe fleeing domestic abuse - something in that ballpark? I just had a vague flashback.

The Bea storyline is so dire. She’s as scary as a ham sandwich. I thought it might end today but it’s still dragging on.

Speaking of which, I loved La Voix. I think she wrote all her own lines and I don’t think the cast knew what she was going to say, it worked really well. It was just about the only good thing about the episode. (I am not a big fan of drag but I make an exception for La Voix.)

Yep, Phil married the Romanian so she could have a visa.

The Romanian lady was called Nadia. I’ve just remembered he was also married to Kate, another rather unlikely relationship as she was a policewoman.
