I have been out so just got around to seeing the draw. Not happy about Stan and Matteo .

So, the women's final at Queen's will be decided by 2 players who got through via retirements.
I'm particularly sad about Jelena- hope she's better for Wimbledon.

No, very disappointing short matches. Can understand the players not wanting to risk things so close to Wimbledon , but it's not great for the spectators.

It sounds like Jelena probably had heatstroke. Not surprised, honestly.

It was only 24C at Eastbourne today , so heatstroke seems odd. I think she is a diabetic so maybe that's where the problem lay??

I do like Madison- she is a player I often forget about, but really enjoy watching when I do. She never takes herself too seriously.

I was trying to remember who won Eastbourne last year- and it was Maya Joint- who Serena has drawn in the first round of Wimbledon.Maya has not had a great year so far (and lost first round of Eastbourne this year) but she will hopefully be a tough opener for Serena.

24C sounds like a dream! It's 36C in London right now.

Is Jelena a diabetic? I didn't know that. It might have been carry over effects from yesterday, she said she'd been vomiting in the evening after winning her QF. Then during the match today she had a MTO and had vital signs checked.
