A new thread as the old one is on page 20..... And i'm frustrated that I am getting an app error when I try to watch the after show!! I want to see Ben and Eddy together watching Jenna enter Ben's room..... I'm going to have to search YouTube for clips instead.
And Mike with his HoD sign was just the funniest. I think they are right British sense of humour. I was laughing.

I’m not one for officially complaining about a tv show but that episode was just so wrong. That’s me never watching again, absolutely disgusting

Yeah, that was a nasty episode and neither Gen or Luke, how can I put this? Came out of it well at all and to leave the sheets on Nathan’s bed, or actually to even do what they did on his bed is just gross 🤢

That was grim, and for anyone to knowingly let Nathan sleep on those sheets...nasty stuff. It would have taken no time to put the sheets in the laundry....or better still to have not done it in the first place. Can't believe he's now feeling all sorry for himself oh what if i lose my job...kind of hope you do!

How on earth does Joy keep managing to make such fabulous food every day. I’m surprised she hasn’t been given a sous chef, or just a galley stew to clean up after her.
She is totally better off without Luke, who has no respect for women (does he think Joy will be impressed by a bit of washing up?). Did he expect someone else to take the sheets and clean them? I don’t think his mother will be impressed with his behaviour either. Is he going to say sorry to everyone, own it and expect to be be forgiven because he apologised. I’d be beyond fuming, if I was Nathan!

Joy is definitely better off without Luke. She is an amazing chef and a great person. Luke is a player and not washing those sheets is grim! Also Gen though even if she had if just slept there they should have been washed.

It was really grim, no excuses for no changing the bedding.

I’m no MH professional but Gen has issues. If I was Joy I’d be locking my cabin door at night.
My initial thoughts on Luke is that he may pip Joe at the post in the player of the year stakes.

Like arranging the cupboard and Joy just looking at it like “I don’t need you to”. I hope she doesn’t weaken to him. He was horrible. Gen has clearly got trust issues but weirdly mixed with an arrogance.

Luke doesn’t come across as genuine to me, I think he wants Sandy to say ‘oh no, you can’t leave’ but she’s already enquired about a replacement deckie.

Just watching the allergic reaction episode and I can't get over how poor the first aid was. So many mistakes and it was treated far too casually. If someone has an allergic reaction they shouldn't be moved. He was wandering all over the boat.

If I was a captain I wouldn't have a crew member with anaphylaxis on board unless they had EpiPens with them.

I think Luke will probably stay.

I was wondering where his epi pen was and wouldn’t be just take it immediately he knew he had a reaction ?

Yes with a reaction like that the correct sequence would be

• use EpiPen (Which he should carry on his body)

-dial 999

• do not move - care should come to the patient not the other way round A1
• use second EpiPen (Always carry two) if no improvement after 5 minutes. Inject it in the other thigh

You can also use antihistamines but you should use the EpiPen first

You don't need to remove clothing to inject the pen and not moving is vital. A lot of fatal reactions were exacerbated when the patient walked /ran to get help /their meds.

Really annoying to see such poor first aid

I would have thought that they would also have epi pens in the first aid kit and people would have been instructed on how to use them. As a primary school teacher I received training, as did all the staff, including lunch supervisors, on how to use the pen, even though I had not done the formal first aid training. It doesn’t take that long to learn and if it saves lives, surely it’s a vital part of training for boat staff.

I did a first aid course recently and the bit I was most confident on was the pen. If his reaction is so severe why isn’t it on him or in first aid kit?

Although learning to use the pen alone isn't enough. People also need to be taught to use it as soon as they suspect a severe reaction (so many deaths caused by delays) and to not move the patient.

Him wandering around annoyed me as much as the lack of adrenaline on board.

And he should have then rested for the rest of the day.

I quite liked captain sandy till then but a ships captain should have better first aid knowledge than that.

Agree. There can be a lot of complacency. And also I think I he seemed to feel that having a reaction was somehow a sign of weakness.

If I was captain I would want him to have his EpiPens on him at all times and I would have spare adrenaline on board.

Looks like Max is coming back it’s not good French relations between him and Joy. Can’t wait for the shady French confessionals !

It seems very contrived having Aesha moving to deck, sure they have managed with 3 before but quite looking forward to Max back.
