A new thread as the old one is on page 20..... And i'm frustrated that I am getting an app error when I try to watch the after show!! I want to see Ben and Eddy together watching Jenna enter Ben's room..... I'm going to have to search YouTube for clips instead.
And Mike with his HoD sign was just the funniest. I think they are right British sense of humour. I was laughing.

The primary guy was creepy, especially when he was talking to Nathan about one of the girl's boobs because she'd had a baby etc...ugh....

Joe clearly has a big buzzing bee in his bonnet and I wouldn't put it past him to sabotage Nathan at some stage, although nathan doesn't seem entirely on the ball to be honest. Why don't they have decent radios and ear pieces when it comes to docking?

Love the fact the girls are already back stabbing, imagine giving it charlie large so early in the day (and on speakerphone), nice.

Anyway, looks like we're in for a grubby season from the flash forwards!

I think this season is going to stress me out. Joe being Joe, Joe being competitive with Nathan, stews competing.

I don’t know why Nathan didn’t speak loudly into the radio.

My main take away was Sandy saying something like “the French make the best croissants”. Who knew? 💀

Below Deck Med S11 E1 thoughts:

• Lovely to see Aesha back
• Love Captain Sandy
• Already utterly sick of Nathan saying he's going to "smash" everything
• Nathan is not a good leader/manager - he should have set aside his issues with Joe rather than harbouring grudges, stirring things up, and bitching on the phone to wimpy Gael
• Nathan should make Joe lead deck hand as a) he is the most experienced and b) this would neutralise the tension between them
• New blonde stew is annoying - I can see why the arsey one from NYC doesn't like her although I think calling her a bitch is a bit strong
• The French chef is going to lose her cool and I am here for it

Watched WWHL with Sandy after this ep and she said Genevieve causes the most drama and called her out as someone who didn’t improve during the season.

Mad at Bravo for making me feel sorry for Joe in this ep. But I’m sure it won’t last long.

Felt for Joe a bit.

Surprised at Nathan going off at him at the end of the episode, he didn't seem to say anything bad about Gael however there could have more that was edited out I guess

I thought Nathan was quite harsh on Joe based on what was shown. Really all Joe seemed to say was that he and Gael didn’t get on, which is true. There must have been something else said which we didn’t see.
I haven’t worked out which stew is which yet in terms of who is being bitchy, who is being bossy and who is in the middle, I’m sure if I give a few more episodes, I’ll get there 😂

I think Nathan heard him say Gael and it acted like a trigger word. It’s was a crazy response! Especially given the day Joe had. I don’t feel like I like either of them lol.

Nathan was sooo out of order tonight. I think Gael has said it's him or me......and laid down the law. I also feel he's been influenced by - don't align with him or you may get cancelled. Nathan is now a dad and is probably very concerned about his longevity both on the show and in yachting.
As for the girls....I need a few more episodes to be able to easily tell which is which. (I watch while cooking tea and don't always give it 100% attention.) Is Genivieve the one they call Jen? I did watch a bit of WWHL.

I'm off bow to episode 3 of Summer House reunion, followed by in the city. It's all so dramatic. West and Amanda spilling their hearts to Lyndsey and Kyle....wait what....so production sent West to his girlfriend's ex husban̈d for a chat.....yeh.....that's going to go well.....

Yeah I watched the extra summer house ep today too and In The City. I hadn’t been enjoying the latter much with the new people but actually really like the long lost family storyline in this ep.
The show would have been very flat if we didn’t know what was coming with West and Amanda.
I thought it said a lot that Lindsay was almost able to talk Amanda out of West in the extra SH ep. I thought she was seeing the light. It’s mad that it was only filmed a few weeks ago.

I think Kyle has sat her down and said she'll be off summer house if she stays with him. I know he isn't officially a producer but his word carries a lot of weight.
I was also really disappointed we didn't see Amanda and West together.
And why is Cierra with Meija? They aren't friends. That was just weird. As was the stupid glasses for a mimosa.

I didn’t they were coming back to summer house anyway? I assumed it was a changing of the guard and the younger ones would be taking over? And they will just be In The City? Maybe the odd cameo? Not sure.

I'm no fan of Joe but Nathan is just horrible. Immature, spiteful, swears all the time, no self-control. At least Captain Sandy stopped him making Luke lead deckhand!

I understand your ask but this is quite a quiet thread and we have always dipped off into a little bit of other Bravo chat and everyone has been fine with it. BD has crossed over with SH along with other bravo shows. The bravosphere is on big place. I don’t think we need to police it now when it’s been fine for years. I hope this doesn’t come across unwelcoming. I just feel that we don’t need to restrict people when the thread is self is not flooded and nor are the comments about other shows dominating the thread.

I read something that said that was what was supposed to happen....but now the OG's will do one ast year.

Hi @whiskerpatrol Welcome. As Middle-class said, this is quite quiet. Below Deck is only one hour a week - unlike the things like Married at First Sight or Love Island which are every day and generate more chat.
I've been really greatful when people here have introduced me to other bravo shows to while away my free time.
And there is no Below Deck after show this time....#bringbackkatechastain Kate and Ben should commentate on all the franchises whilst cooking dinner. I would watch....

Do agree with this re the thread - why not start a new thread of all things bravo or summer house instead?

Actually @MiddleClassProblem , I've always found the digressions into discussing other Bravo shows on the Below Deck threads really annoying and I'm sure others have too. Start your own thread! It doesn't matter that BD threads are "quiet" - lots of threads are, and are still allowed to stay on one topic. Below Deck is on all year round in any case so even if there are just a couple of posts a week they will tick over.

Anyway.

I am loving the French chef - some nice close-ups of her food in this episode too - and want her and Luke to get together.

Gen is just coming across mean and competitive and not very nice. If I was going to guess who leaves the boat first, I'd guess her.

That horrible guest is an ideal test for Nathan - Nathan has terrible anger management problems but if he can control his temper with this arsehole, maybe there's hope. I googled to see if the guy could actually have $500m and it seems unlikely:

I do think it’s a bit rude to go on to a thread and to ask people to stop talking about something if I’m honest. Been on these threads since they started and we always did it. @Mumdiva99 started this specific thread and says it’s fine so it feels odd you coming at me telling me to start my own. Ditto. Policing what people say feels a lot. No one is being offensive, you can skip comments you’re not interested in. None of it stops the BD chat.
We had a great community on these threads for years, albeit quieter these days. And times when some series of BD have felt flat or like they dragged we enjoyed talking about other shows in the meantime as reality TV and bravo was the common ground. We found new shows, some people talk about the many RH shows that I don’t watch but it does give me some context for when people are referenced. We hope it feels like a place for chatting with friends here. You may enjoy Reddit where conversation are compartmentalised a bit more.

Thanks but I don't need to be sent off to reddit. These are the below deck threads, always have been. It doesn't really matter who gets in first to start the new BD thread when one fills up - if @Mumdiva99 wants a general Bravo thread she is welcome to start one. Maybe there would be more BD posts if people weren't constantly derailing the discussion talking about unrelated and less popular shows like Summer House (whatever that is).

@MiddleClassProblem please don't go. I love your opinion on all things Bravo. I'm keen to see what happens to Kenny and his search for his dad. (I'm watching that in a bit....had to catch up on BD first).

As the Bravo franchise cross pollinate it is sad to say we can't enjoy that. So when the RHO(wherever) are on BD. Does that mean we can't discuss them and the back story. Or if a BD crew mate is on WWHL with another person from a different show we can't discuss that too?

Let's all just live and let live. It's nice to learn more about people and their interests. This should be a space for connection as well as opinion.

Please resist the urge to start "Below Deck" threads if you actually want to talk about niche shows like Summer House, In The City or whatever - these have no relevance to BD unless they also do a crossover.

Nathan apologising to Joe was a it of a surprise, hopefully they can both put it behind them but I suspect Joe will treat one of the stews badly again, Nathan will be pissed off again and it’ll all kick off 🙄
As for that awful guest, what a total knob he is, bang on about being worth 500 million, money doesn’t buy class though does it? He’s treating the crew like shit and I wonder where it’ll go when he goes to the bridge to confront Nathan.
I think Aesha has made a good choice with her second stew, is it Kayleigh or have I got them mixed up? Gen (I think) is a shit stirrer and thinks everyone else is beneath her

I am surprised that Nathan hasn't learnt better over the years how to deal with the knobs because they are numerous...and how gross when he was on the phone trying to arrange for another girl to come on the trip. Bet the primaries regretted inviting him!

Chef Joy, she seems smart and so far not massively dramatic so hoping she doesn't get all messed up with the Luke drama (I am assuming he's shagging Gen in the 'next time' clip).

Gen's reaction to Kayleigh getting second stew was priceless...experience is great but if your attitude/ethic sucks (and even the other stew - the lovely brunette - Cat?) has said as much.

Well done Nathan, he handled that obnoxious guest really well and actually seems like a different person overnight, what Sandy said to him must have really given him something to think about.

Damon on a few BD shows and always think him and his wife are great guests, fantastic tip too, best one I can remember seeing.
