Interior design masters new series - let the battle commence

The next series starts on the 21st April. Looking forward to banquettes, and bizarre paint choices, and upcycling of old junk. DD and I are rewatching the old series and I’d forgotten how crazy some of the rooms were!

I would like a “where are they now” episode each series showing the original, the decorated and the final used state of the rooms in each episode :)

Frankie is going home I reckon.

Folk who like this might enjoy Decorating the Hebrides with past winner Banjo Beale...yes its daytime TV shoot me now.

Most of those were a housekeepers nightmare!

Fair result. Looking forward to them working together, I love seeing who cooperates and who throws under the bus.

my fave to follow on instagram is Siobhan - the maximallist from the early seasons that wore outrageous wigs. She’s glorious. And very successful since the show.

He's bound to appear and tell us all off at some point.

Not a single designer has caught my eye yet. I liked the one that won this week, but nothing ground breaking.

Sad to see Frankie go I liked her designs

I quite liked Frankie's. I thought the flower room was the worst and wasn't keen on Alice and Wonderland room. I think Frankie didnt deserve the chop, but the bedside tables were impractical.

I quite like Ajeet's stuff. I don't think it's genius or anything, but it's design you could live with easily. His beach hut was good too, but I fear he isn't out there enough to win.

I thought the Alice in Wonderland room was bloody awful, very surprised that wasn’t in the bottom 3. Didn’t like Ajeet’s room either, it felt devoid of personality and flair. I don’t think Frankie deserved to go.

Duran’s room was also awful. I didn’t mind the yellow but that lime green she choose was hideous. And no wardrobe just some weird miniscule rail in the corner, it looked like she’d taken most of the furniture out and didn’t bother to replace it. Her room looked so empty, zero design at play, just a weird statement light fitting.

Agree that the Alice room was awful and Duran’s room defied belief. I like Ajeet but think @Urgentbiscuitrequiredis right and his work is too tasteful and normal for the judges
