Same. BAFTA has been a bit cringe with the 'down with the kids' stuff these past few years. We just want to see the awards and the pretty frocks. Not the unfunny 'jokes'. Or maybe that's just me?

I think it might be someone with Tourette’s - there’s a Tourette’s film nominated!

Ds2 is a bit of a film buff and I now have his running commentary about ‘ didn’t like that , ‘ or ‘ I did like that ‘ ! I’ve only seen Sinners out of the films shown and nominated and that wasn’t too bad.
Both Wicked films been overlooked it seems !

I loved Sinners but hated One Battle After Another. The main female character was so over sexualised and it seemed really fetishy about interracial relationships

It's always a bit of a downer when the winner isn't there to accept the award. It's so obvious that they couldn't be bothered to make the flight across the Atlantic. In this case, there wasn't even a pre prepared speech.
