Did anyone watch the new reality tv tonight, presented by Ben Shepard? Group of people sent to New Zealand to climb a mountain over 14 days.

I quite enjoyed it. Quite a few dislikeable characters though. Well, 2 at least.

I quite liked it too, apart from that one particular contestant who's absolutely vile! Gutted to see a decent person go tonight!

We were questioning whether it was an enjoyable watch at all as we felt there were maybe too many ragebait type characters. And the person they got rid of made me really cross.

Im hoping they’ll become more likeable characters given more screen time. Ace the ex gladiator came across well in a lot of ways.

Gillian McKeiths daughter is playing a character and not doing it well, at all.

Just starting it. There is someone I ‘know’ on it so interested to see how they come across!

Watching the 2nd episode on ITVX. Stunning scenery. No way you would get me on those crossings! Dockers is awful! Charlott would soon become very irritating & possibly Sean too.

Gave me the willies to see the clips of her & her Mum doing everything together, especially the Barbie fancydress!

Dockers is unbelievable, if I was related to him I’d be bloody ashamed.

Ben’s clearly had a bit of work done but he’s easy on the eye.

We loved it, but there's definitely some editing going on, as it seemed like everyone knew what Dockers was about, yet he managed to persuade his fellow hikers to dump Tom. I never thought I'd see "Dr"Gillian McKeith on TV again, even in clips, talk about playing the long game, waiting till her daughter's grown up and get her on TV to get herself back on! I didn't mind the girl actually, as pp have said most of it is an act but the crying and screaming in front of that bridge, to be fair, is just how I would have been.

I watched it and was a bit disappointed as I thought it was going to be a programme about people being taught how to do mountaineering!

@TinselAngel for the trekking they are doing you’d hope they’ve had some basic guidance but it seems not. And Dockers being ex military was less than useful and losing track of his own kit. It was also very mean that they’d been given massively expensive tents with no ground sheets.

enjoyed it but omg Dockers is beyond awful. imagine knowing him in RL.

Bloody love that!

Found it extremely uncomfortable. A lot of bullying behaviour. Most programmes like this favour team behaviour. This first episode for me was based on the alpha

Really thought they were going to vote Tyra off out of the two

Wanted to see Tom's reaction though when they cut the rope but they just didn't show him at all once it had happened!!

Just watched ep 2. Really surprised nobody took walking poles with them? Sad to see who left (including the person local to me) but it does look brutal!

They were going an incredibly roundabout way to the top of the mountain, with a very rudimentary map. I think it was too silly for me to watch the rest of it.

I jumped ship after 20 minutes of watching it. There are a lot of irritating characters moaning about everything. Even in the beginning, you can see bullying and nastiness. Some of them are very ill-prepared for the expedition - what did they expect?
