Did anyone watch the new reality tv tonight, presented by Ben Shepard? Group of people sent to New Zealand to climb a mountain over 14 days.

I’m watching it now, he is very very clearly willing her to fall

No I’m saying he didn’t really want her to fall. It’s all part of the drama

Programmes like these are heavily directed and edited to add tension etc

It seems to fit with how he's behaving the rest of time, that he'd want people to fall

Yes but they aren’t literally putting words in his mouth

Course they can ! “ It would be really good if you said something to get viewers thinking you wanted someone to fall to show how determined you are etc” Happens all the time

My niece works on reality Tv programmes and it’s quite suprising what they get people to do

@Sidebeforeself they can’t actively cast anyone as a villain unless they’re properly acting the prick to begin with it goes against fair representation

But why would he purposely want to come across how he's coming across

Some people would like the extra screen time and attention ..Nasty Nick ..remember him?! Made in Chelsea is a classic example. ( I know Nick wasn’t in MiC)

It really surprises me how they portray people. I know Charlotte in real life, as in she’s the instructor at an aqua-aerobics class I attend. She is genuinely the kindest, funniest and most encouraging teacher ever. Not at all like how she’s been portrayed in the show.

interesting. dockers did say it. but its like he has been made the pantomime baddie. if we didn't have him to dislike. it would be boring.

Well to be fair they probably do pick people for controversial personalities don't they

Dockers is really coming across as abusive isn't he? He's being all pally to them now and they all think he's lovely and has learnt his lesson but in reality he's slagging them off behind their backs. It's interesting to watch him, but also slightly chilling at the same time.

well the ending was a bit of a let down. did anyone apart from us watch lol

I didn't want him to be
And I kind of didn't want him to encourage the others to vote for him
I know he did encourage Dockers to vote for him but I did think maybe Dockers might not still...
And I absolutely think that he got far, he should be going away with some money!!!

In face it's pissed me off a bit that after this hard work and getting this far he doesn't get anything at all
