I haven’t watched the podcast - is it the official Rivals one?

Yes, the one on Disney+. It’s interesting insight into some of the plots, and making of. The first two segments are actors or producers / directors and really interesting…then the last segment is “superfans” and I find really annoying and fake and switch off.

Thank you - I listened to a couple over the weekend. Didn’t enjoy the superfans but the writers/cast were v interesting.

3 episodes out on Nov 11th - I suppose a drip feed after that. I hate the drip feed but better than no Rivals at all!

They really be are trying to squeeze as much money out from people as they can, aren’t they? My sixth sense tells me that the last three episodes will be available a little over four weeks after November 11th, to get more people to subscribe for two months rather than one.

If they want to squeeze more money out of us i wish they’d just charge the equivalent of two months’ subscription to stream everything in one go. There are shows that benefit from being stretched out week by week - I think it worked for Richard Gadd’s ‘Half Man’ recently, partly because it was so intense that I don’t think I could have borne to watch more than an episode a week - but ‘Rivals’ really isn’t one of them, it’s made for comfort bingeing imo. And yes I know I could just wait till they are all released to subscribe, but I’m not that patient!

I think they’d better off keeping to weekly episodes. Seems less manipulative than blocks of episodes, even if the outcome is the same.
