Well, we soared through the last thread again, so here's a shiny new one!

Corrie is pretty much based around the tragic death of Billy at the moment. Bernie is starting to lose the plot a bit, and ended up in a hotel room with a strange man who is the husband of someone Roy has been chatting to. (It's all a bit confusing!!!) Then she ended up unconcious in the ladies toilets!

Todd and Theo are still together - annoyingly - and Carl (Debbie's brother) has just heard Theo blabbing to Billy in his coffin how he's not a murderer, and he should have saved him, and so on. A guilty conscience, or self pity? (I'm guessing the latter.) Carl was listening (conveniently!) and smirked when he heard Theo 'confessing,' but I'm not sure what he's going to do with the information. Especially as shortly after, Theo saw Carl doing some dodgy dealing with some blokes, and he photographed him. So, they now have 'something' on each other!

Not much happening with the Driscolls at the moment, and Ma Driscoll and Eva have called a truce. But for how long???

Shona and David's new little baby (Harper) is still a bit fragile.

Shiny faced Megan Trainer the Siren who has men (and boys) eating out of her hand, is showing an unpleasant, dark side, after practically threatening Sam (Nick's son) if he blabs anything about her and Will.

And Carla and Lisa have inexplicably made up, as if nothing has happened. On the plus side however, at least we have got rid of the dreadful Undead Becky storyline.

Probably some more bits and bobs to discuss, but I'm sure we'll get to them soon. Smile

Well that was a waste of time! What was it even about?? To think I turned the Olympics off to watch that shite!

It looked like all the baddies outside staring at the sky were all injured or bruised. 🤞🤞🤞

the80sweregreat · 16/02/2026 22:51

Seems this wedding will end up like another episode of Corrie dale ! All battered and bruised and another death. It’s becoming one a month almost.

suburburban · 16/02/2026 20:58

Why doesn’t Todd keep his cash on him

where has Summer gone again

Had Theo taken Todd’s pathetic kitty? How he thinks he can save to pay off his debt of £7k is beyond me! Is Jodie trying to get off with David? Bizarre ! Let’s hope all 5 get murdered probably by Sam drugged up on hallucinogenic pills 😁

the80sweregreat · 16/02/2026 22:54

I hope David tells chip nicking Jodie to do one.
I did laugh at her ‘ table for three’
The chips looked nice .. better than eating at Roy’s !

Yes it does. They obviously think the formula worked at New Year so they’re doing it again!

Thistooshallpass. · 16/02/2026 23:44

I’m hoping for a serial killer who takes out all five of them . Maybe weird Mal the electrician from Inverness could do it .

Justpolly · 17/02/2026 00:59

I was depressed to see Theo still around in the fast forward scenes. It presumably means that this excruciating storyline with Todd is still playing out for at least another couple of months. It was so well done for a while, but has now become sooo painful. I was hoping we were going to be put out of our misery soon.

the80sweregreat · 17/02/2026 06:18

My tv guide showed five in the frame for murder. One was Bernie , but we didn’t see her last night did we?
i didn’t recognize Megan and what was the spinning about? I do hope that someone has killed Theo.

Perhaps they're building us up for a 'red wedding' style do, where everyone gets massacred. Corrie meets Game of Thrones.

I wish! The Red Wedding was my favourite episode of GOT.

Myrealnameisbetty · 17/02/2026 08:13

Last night's was as far from "proper" Corrie as it's ever been. I know we aren't forced to watch but I had to see it through but had it been a full hour I would have struggled. My dip into Classic showed Stan Ogden's death story and Hilda's grief which almost had me crying along with her. That was real Corrie at it's best.

Last night's along with the last many episodes have had barely any humour or realism. Highlighting grooming and all the other current issues is one thing but those responsible for the scripts should be ashamed.

That was my first thought, the second was only one of them is going.

They have given up on the day to day stuff.

Last week we had Lauren chatting to Betsy on the sofa about her date with Ollie, not the most amazing scene but two young women doing normal stuff and way better than all the Becky crap in that household. They need to develop characters slowly, build friendships not throw a dead body at Betsy.

Shellingbynight · 17/02/2026 08:42

I only want Theo murdered if Todd has an alibi. I don’t want another six months of Todd accused and in anguish until the killer is found. Whereas if it’s Megan, who cares who did it.

Todd is hiding the kitty so he isn't left with no money for food again. Theo is supposedly keeping all his wages to pay off the debt.

Nevermind17 · 17/02/2026 09:44

Well whoever gets murdered I think we can all agree that the wrong person will be arrested and charged, and held on remand for six months until the real killer is unveiled. 🥱

Agree completely. If Todd gets put in a cell at any point, I'm out. Why do they always follow the same pattern with these murder stories? Dull.

eggandonion · 17/02/2026 09:50

Does Theo know about Todd's not very well hidden cash? Coronation Street could do with a credit union.
Every new person who arrives is not just a bit bad , they are totally evil. The latest people who moved in near us have a couple of cats who go into the neighbouring garden. Which the neighbours refer to as 'our property '. They need storyline like that with the occasional mass murder.

I think the 5 are:

Ma Driscoll, Meghan Trainer, Jodie, Carl and Theo.

Please let the correct killer be found and jailed as quick as undead-Becky was.

LesserSpottedCharacter · 17/02/2026 10:15

WTAF are the producers of Corrie trying to achieve? Are they wanting awards or are they just desperate to keep their ever dwindling viewer numbers out of the gutter? It's not working, whatever it is. They may think "Well, you're all still watching!" but we get the gist in about five minutes after fast forwarding the shite, of which there is much.

Could the police not have given Betsy a blanket for her bare shoulders?

Ma Driscoll is more suited to pantomime. She is embarrassingly awful.

Housewife2010 · 17/02/2026 10:18

When was the last time there was a nice CS wedding that didn't end in a bloodbath, a huge drama or one of the spouses about to die?

NorfolkandBad · 17/02/2026 10:18

Last night's episode was the worst I can remember, I've watched Corrie off and on for around 45 years now, I was literally aghast at that offering.

Just a select few Corrie characters that have been in prison, half of them probably for crimes they didn’t commit. And I’ve probably forgotten loads of them. It must be the crime capital of the UK!

Yes, I think you’re right! It’s funny, I was trying to remember who I could picture wearing a bib at visiting time. Maybe half of them were actually netballers rather than convicts!

Andepeda · 17/02/2026 11:07

I'm checking in on here to see what's happening, just don't want to watch until the Todd situation ends. Add to that the Megan situation and the Carl situation....and the Jodie situation.

Ma Driscoll is just ridiculous, what are the writers thinking?
