First task is the classic buying task, but it's taking place in Hong Kong.

There's also a new companion show - 'Unfinished Business' - let's hope it's a return to form after several years of the 'All About Tom Allen' show 😆

Karishma has stood out from episode 1. We haven't had such a strong candidate since Stella!

I love her, she gets it.

And the lady who was fired annoyed me. I get all sorts of vague requests from senior leaders which I have to turn into an impactful campaign, not the handholding they expect on the apprentice - especially given her speech in the taxi about Sugar regretting it.

Karishma had a vision for the ad and she went ahead and realised it, without letting it get messed up by random ideas from everyone, which is usually why these tasks fail - the original vision and message gets lost, as it did with the zebra book, because everyone's shoving their oar in with a different idea.

There is a risk associated with that approach because, if it all goes pear-shaped, you can scarcely avoid the blame in the boardroom, but as long as she plays to her strengths, as she did in this task, I think she stands a really good chance of making it to the end.

Which episode did Levi get fired? Or did he just suddenly leave? If he got fired I wonder if we will see it

They said he was sick, so I assumed he'd been quietly got rid of, but then he was back, so maybe he was actually sick.

Allegedly the offensive tweets didn't emerge till after filming so I presume Levi was genuinely sick or absent for some personal reason. There was little visibility of Levi in last night's episode so it's possible they've gone back and edited him out as far as is feasible, but unless he's actually won it, at some point he'll be fired so they'll have to include him fully to give any coherent narrative. If he's through to the interviews, they're going to have to run it and possibly add some kind of disclaimer. I understand they shoot two final outcomes and don't announce the winner till the last minute so I think they can avoid him walking off with the £250k

I notice that they don't wrap themselves up in macs and scarves anymore for the taxi so maybe you they don't film all the exit sequences at the beginning any more.

Does anyone else remember when they did brand a bottle of water on Junior Apprentice. The kids did a much better job (just an ad and brand - before social media times)! It was the final task IIRC

The after show seemed a bit better this episode, Angela Scanlon seemed to be more confident. Still not loving the ‘tunes’ bit though!

I'm getting used to the new after show format and it's growing on me.
Sadly for my DH I've still got a tendency to say "That's something that Caught My Eye" a la Tom Allen whenever I notice something.

My Mum is a florist and it's a tough business right now - wholesale flower prices are ridiculous post brexit, most are imported from Holland and Columbia these days and even foliage isn't cheap. She deals with flower merchants direct who come over in huge lorries from Holland twice a week and even then it's still costly.
