Anyone else looking forward to the new series?

First task is the classic buying task, but it's taking place in Hong Kong.

There's also a new companion show - 'Unfinished Business' - let's hope it's a return to form after several years of the 'All About Tom Allen' show 😆

Where was the treat for the winners and the cafe of doom

More work than the Sistine Chapel.

She’d have me wailing.

They went to the Bridge cafe

murasaki · 05/02/2026 21:59

I'd rather have mice in my house than Kieran.

Marcus really fucked up by changing his mind. He might have got away with it if it weren't for that.

Marcus that’s bad unprecedented sexism. Bringing back a 4th person back like that
I want Dan is currently my front runner. Or one of at lease

Andrea comes across as very cold. Her pitch was rubbish. I can’t work out her face is it natural or has she had a lot of work done?

I think Andrea said last week that she was an aesthetics practitioner (amongst all her other jobs). Maybe she practices on herself?

No treat though for winners

the80sweregreat · 05/02/2026 22:02

They didn’t get enough stripes for a treat.
Poor show though , shows the BBC are on austerity measures , but had enough for last weeks one!

By the end of this series I doubt any of us will even remember who Marcus was...

I'm not sure I'll remember by the end of unfinished business....

IHeartMyTissues · 05/02/2026 22:06

Kieran is on borrowed time, and I doubt Andrea's CV bullshit-style take on 'writing a book' will do her any favours.

Love the contrast of Karen saying the tasks are harder the candidates are more business oriented with the chap on the right being like where did you get these idiots from. I think most of us are with the chap of the right (I have no idea who he is.)

AuntyAngela · 05/02/2026 23:16

I've just managed to catch up with last week's and this week's. All I can say, this year's lot have a long hard slog to get to mediocrity.

iknowher · 05/02/2026 23:20

Name changed for obvious reasons. Andrea’s face is A LOT of work.

murasaki · 05/02/2026 23:26

Some one should have told her to stop. Mind you, I don't think the harsh telly make up helps, it makes her look a bit as if Tim Burton cast her.

iknowher · 05/02/2026 23:41

She looks like that in person too. She’s VERY strong minded. Very interesting to see how passive she is on the show so far…

I thought she came across as pretty ruthless and unpleasant tonight, telling the other women that if they worked for her she would sack them.

Her businesses are estate agents / lettings / AirBnB aren’t they?

Unfortunately, just realised that Keiran looks a little like Bradley Cooper.

More like Tim from Corrie

OneSeriesTooMany · 06/02/2026 00:12

Th woman’s PM came across as very controlling and not willing to listen. She treated that one girl really poorly (sorry names evade me but hopefully know who I mean). Her pitch was awful. I wouldn’t have done any better but I’d know to out forward someone else to open it!

The zebra character was brilliant and the illustrations good - the woman. Who did that (think sub team leader maybe) was very very good.

Marcus was the right person to go. I thought he was very arrogant and wuote rude to the quieter chap in the red rimmed glasses. Karen stood up for him when Marcus started slating him again in unfinished business. She also clearly called Marcus out on his BS about how he thought the book was for potty training - yeah right! Took him couple months to come up with that bullshit over story! Neither Karen nor the male guest believed a word he said. I loved that she spoke so well and not rudely but got across how wrong he was to dismiss the negative feedback as he needed to use that to plan the pitch and how to answer questions.

so I liked unfinished business a bit better this week but mainly as I found it interesting listening to Karen and her observations. Im never too sure about her but she came across as thoroughly likeable and interesting. I don’t think she’d have gotten as much speaking opportunity on the prior version of the show. Having said that I cannot stand Angela as a presenter nor the stupid music thing (what’s that got to do with anything!?)

If that’s her being passive (I thought she was quite pushy!) I can’t wait to see her strong minded personality come out. Interesting to hear form someone that knows one of them and contrast how they come across on tv to real life.

Why does that girl keep waking with her hand on her hip like she’s on the catwalk lol 😂

I saw it twice and hand to rewind it back to have a good laugh. It was so over the top exaggeration cat walk strutting and wiggling side to side.

Judgejudysno1fan · 06/02/2026 03:36

The posts described Muslims as “dirty”, women as “slags” and “dogs”, police officers as “pigs”, and expressed support for British far-right activist Tommy Robinson while urging British people to take a stand against Islam.
A BBC spokesperson said it was “completely unaware” that the contestant had made “such abhorrent comments”. The independent production company has been asked to fully review the social media checks undertaken “given the process has clearly failed in this instance”.
“The views presented are totally unacceptable and we are taking this extremely seriously,” the BBC said.
Yet this is far from the first time that the Lord Sugar-fronted show – which pitches 20 candidates who pride themselves on their ruthlessness against each other to compete for £250,000 – has provoked controversy for its choice of contestants.

Yuck, and there are a few Muslim contestants this year. So maybe he wasn't actually "sick" !

The Apprentice at 20: how Trump and Alan Sugar’s reality TV baby became little more than ritual humiliation
