Welcome to Thread 11 of Traitors 2026.

This thread runs at TV pace so do not read any further if you are not up to date with the live broadcast. Whilst most discussion will be on the current series, inevitably people will refer to previous series/players/winners so reader beware if you’ve not seen the 3 previous editions, or the celebrity version.

While we welcome posters discussing their theories and speculating on relationships/connections between players, please don’t post spoilers from elsewhere that may ruin things for those of us who like to see things unfold over the course of the series.

The story so far - this is a mid episode thread change so do not read on if you are not up to date with the live broadcast!

I wonder if that’s why they did it, as otherwise killing Roxy made no sense. They both seem to be decent people so would be hard to take money from Roxy in the end game but the rest would be fair enough!

To me, the way they were talking in the turret hinted as much. I don't think they wanted to "betray" Roxy like that either, and good for them if so.

I don’t think anyone got a shield tonight think it was just no one was going to be murdered

The shield in the 2 chests to protect from banishment I was talking about!

Sorry if im being thick but would a traitors where the tv audience NEVER sees who the traitors are for the whole series work ? As in all secret traitors all the time. Like their voices in the turret could be disguised.

I wouldn't enjoy that, personally. We wouldn't get the turret scenes or be able to laugh or gasp when people are right on it or right off.

Have you watched The Mole on Netflix. The viewer doesn’t know who The Mole is either. Can be nail biting at times. But I prefer the traitors.

Does anyone else think this has been really staged. I simply can't believe Rachel has gotten this far after the whole Fiona incident, and then Jesse accusing her. Why are they only just switching on now? Stephen turns red every time he is questioned. Yes, they have both played a good games, especially Rachel.

It's a real competition and not staged. It's for the BBC it will be watertight.

It's just the editing.

Whoever doesn't get the shield will be banished in the final anyway. If it's David Tennant, Rachel will definitely go next because they won't have got a Traitor and they all know there are at least two left.

Nobody is talking about the mole at work the next day ...

They don't know there's two left.

They possibly only think there's one left.

ThatCyanCat · 23/01/2026 07:14

As a game show I don't think it's legal to stage it, past fiddling with the rules to keep Traitors in at the end and stuff like that. I don't think they can mess with who leaves and wins.

NewAgeNewMe · 23/01/2026 07:16

No but it’s a reply to the person about not knowing who rhr traitors are for the viewer as well. It was to get the idea of what it would be like.

As I said I prefer traitors to the mole. I don’t seek out to watch their episodes whereas after this series of traitors I’ll be bereft. Thank the lord Ireland traitors will be on so I’ll be fine!

Where can we watch the Irish traitors?

NewAgeNewMe · 23/01/2026 07:20

It’s going to be on bbc tonight or tomorrow I think. Someone upthread mentioned it so I searched through on my sky tv. I’ll see if I can find it.

James could not possibly have looked any more faithful in that episode. FGS he won the task for them and threw his guts up doing it. He could so easily have sabotaged it as a traitor.
I would hate to play the game. I find lying so stressful, and not trusting people, and watching what I say. I could possibly cope as a faithful, but I would lose it as a traitor. I would go around telling everyone it was me.
My ideal scenario would be Faraaz and James to win, but I have no idea how that would unfold as I am rubbish at this.
I guess whoever of James and Rachel are not banished now, will go next.
Jack looks old for 28, I think. It is a shame he has had so little screen time. What was his 'story'?

I would be terrible on this game too. If I were a Faithful I'd be murdered within two days, if I were a Traitor I'd be a permanent shade of pillar box red and spluttering and I'd be among the first banished. I wouldn't even be good TV while I did it.

A couple of them have said they think there are two left and they all nodded at that.

Yes, but I was specifically talking about who I wanted to stay in last nights episode because I felt Rachel was more deserving of a spot in the final than James/DavidTenantJasperCarrotsLoveChild

Trixibell1234 · 23/01/2026 07:36

I don’t think it’s staged, just cleverly edited with good story arc.

They possibly only think there's one left.

If they’ve watched the hand before, they would know if they went down to 1 traitor early in, they’d be forced to recruit. They couldn’t be certain that hadn’t happened so if I were a faithful I’d be working on the assumption there has to be at least 2 left.

MrsLeonFarrell · 23/01/2026 07:40

This has been a great series, particularly once they got the bitchy ego driven middle aged women out (although i might not have minded them so much of I wasnt their age, so embarrassing).

I would rank this secondd in my favourite UK series. Series 2 is my favourite and much as I loved the celebrity version the faithfuls were annoyingly stupid. I an looking forward to re watching it knowing the end to focus on the details.

I didn't like the secret traitor twist but it may have worked better if the secret traitor had actually had a plan with their nominations rather than taking the Sonia approach of mindless meddling. The multiple shields and the nature of the tasks seem to have made it harder for the faithful to form bonds as they are pitted against each other a lot more.

At this point I think Rachel deserves to go as the result of chance because she has done so well to get this far with so many targeting her. I don't really mind who wins although Faraaz and Jade would be funny.

Rachel is now my second favourite traitor for strategy and game play after Harry. I loved Alan Carr but he didn't really have either!

Trixibell1234 · 23/01/2026 07:36

The fact that so many people think it's staged, which would be illegal with a cash prize, just shows that the people with the best social instincts and grasp of game dynamics are the production team.

PotteryChuck · 23/01/2026 07:44

If Rachel goes, I think Stephen, James and Jack will vote together to banish Jade and Faraz.

Possibly, Stephen and Jack banish James.

Stephen wins.

If James is out, then surely they'll banish Rachel, Jade, possibly Faraz.

Stephen wins.

I don't think Stephen has enough suspicion to be banished at the fire, everyone remaining likes him, I don't think Rachel will ruin his game for him, and he comes across a bit dippy/similar to Alan so there's zero question over why he hasn't been murdered.

Thats such a good point. Imagine if Rachel had been the secret traitor? I think the producers would have kept it going a lot longer. Whereas Fiona was so chaotic that they had to end it early.

Edited because I could see the text properly!

LiquoriceAllsorts2 · 23/01/2026 07:53

Ah we couldn’t see Roxy opening the letter as she would have been with James or Rachel so would have given away which one was banished

LighthouseLED · 23/01/2026 08:01

YouWillNeverGuessMyUsername · 23/01/2026 07:14

They don't know there's two left.

They possibly only think there's one left.

They’d be stupid to think there’s only one left as they haven’t got a Traitor out since Fiona and once there’s only one Traitor left they always recruit. So if there had only been 3 at the start and Fiona’s departure had left a single Traitor whoever left would have recruited that night. So logically they must know there are at least 2 left.
