Welcome to Thread 8 of Traitors 2026.

This thread runs at TV pace so do not read any further if you are not up to date with the live broadcast. Whilst most discussion will be on the current series, inevitably people will refer to previous series/players/winners so reader beware if you’ve not seen the 3 previous editions, or the celebrity version.

While we welcome posters discussing their theories and speculating on relationships/connections between players, please don’t post spoilers from elsewhere that may ruin things for those of us who like to see things unfold over the course of the series.

The story so far (as at end of Ep 6):

Traitors
Hugo
Rachel
Stephen
Fiona (Secret Traitor)

Murdered
Netty
Ben
Maz
Reece

Banished
Judy (Faithful)
Hugo (Traitor)
Ross (Faithful)
Amanda (Faithful)
Fiona (Traitor)
Harriet (Faithful)

Jessie, James and Adam are the potential murder candidates, but both Jessie and James have shields.

The floor is yours…

It's interesting how we all watch the same footage and feel differently about the people in it. I have found pretty much everyone on this series likeable (before Harriet and Fiona flipped their lids that is). Other series there had always been one or two that I found a little grating.

Agree! For eg, I like Jade (despite her 'traitor' face and her how-very-dare-she-expensive cardigans) but if she says 'I voted for yourself' one more time at the RT, no amount of colourful knitwear is going to make that OK.

TheGreenBow · 16/01/2026 10:27

Yes never noticed so much yourselfing as there was last night

Yes, Stephen said it three times in one breath! I was so impressed by Faraaz who seems to be the only one who knows when not to use reflexive pronouns...

ThatCyanCat · 16/01/2026 10:45

I like Faraaz. I liked him doing the impression of a coquettish milkmaid in the painting task.

I really don't see Rachel as a bully or mean girl. Especially given the way that she seems to be genuinely liked and respected. We see her in the turret where I think she's shown herself to be using her head not her heart. That's not how women are expected to behave. At other times she's demonstrated an empathetic and warm side. I don't think a man playing exactly the same game would be accused of being a bully out of the game.
She manages her emotions incredibly well and that's allowed her to be constant and consistent. Stephen doesn't manage his emotions well but as a result he's also been constant and consistent! Like Alan Carr.

The situation I didn't think Rachel handled well was the whole Amanda thing. The big reveal etc was ridiculous in my mind but it sparked a gloriously jealous response from Fiona 😆

Ive warmed to Stephen and he's become more logical and strategic in his play. I think they've been a really good pair of Traitors.

That’s what makes her so dangerous! Warm persona but a self confessed liar and will throw you under the bus in a heartbeat.

I think quite a few have their suspicions by now, as Adam did, but going out on a public limb is suicide.

Maidenjourney · 16/01/2026 10:56

Namechangetoday43 · 16/01/2026 10:08

I agree.

I really like both Rachel and Stephen and want them to win. I do think they (currently anyway!) genuinely have each other's backs and, if they can, want to share the winnings. I don't think they're out to keep it all to themselves. They've both been vocal in defending the other.

I also think there is merit is trying to keep each other in for the final; they've automatically got strength in numbers.

The only faithful I like is James. The others are annoying and/or bland!

Edited

I agree

Machiavellian. That’s her very role though - she’s doing it well. Not her actual personality I’m sure!

She’s a self confessed proud liar. Likely to be Machiavellian in real life too.

God, I know. I'd have permanent indigestion if I ate dinner hunched over my plate like that. I'd definitely have to be in the kitchen crew and sit at a proper(ish) table.
Everything about life in the castle makes me really anxious, actually; people wandering about with their food, perched on chairs balancing plates on their knee, someone always coming in or out of a room when others are mid-conversation, wandering past doorways, circling round looking for people...

I agree and then theres creepy tasks with coffin processions and actors underground. I wouldn't cope.

mixedpeel · 16/01/2026 11:05

@Maggiethecat Also, since Rachel seems Miss Popular in the castle will no one work out that if she is unlikely to be banished why hasn’t she been murdered?

ooh, now that is a better argument than “but Fiona and Harriet both said she was a traitor”. If I was a faithful I would think it very unlikely that a traitor would’ve tried to get another one out as early as Fiona did, tbh. But if someone does have any suspicions, your observation would be very much worth dropping into the conversation. Then you could go down the line that Fiona must have been traitor on traitor.

I’d say that this points up how necessary it is to try and build alliances, so you can have the additional conversations outside the RT to give you the confidence to go for it. For me this partly explains why Roxy was so shaken by the James shield-grab. Between that and Harriet’s “I’m not working together any longer” at breakfast the other morning, she suddenly had any sense that she had a little group she could genuinely trust shattered in front of her. So the whole game got a lot more scary. Likewise Sam, who had worked at re-building relationships since the lonely cage experience - you could see him just lose any sense that it was worth working for some greater good.

Maggiethecat · 16/01/2026 11:12

If she does win she’ll have to do a serious damage limitation exercise for the real world. Will have to say how much she grew to like the other players and started to feel bad about murdering them (think she’s already started to say similar in the diary room) when she really doesn’t give a jot.
If I were a work colleague I would be second guessing her behaviour at work now.

Namechangerage · 16/01/2026 07:31

I love Steven!

I could watch him all day, he's adorable! He always looks impeccable and is just a bit of sweetheart. I'm usually Team Faithful but I'm rooting for Stephen.

TheFifthTellytubby · 16/01/2026 11:28

Did anyone else wonder about how much fun the props and design department had preparing that cabin task? 😈😁

Proud liar in real life?? Oh dear .. shudder then, in that case..

Clafoutie · 16/01/2026 11:42

Watching Adam on Uncloaked, he made me think of a slightly less well groomed David Beckham.

She's head of comms, I'd be surprised if anyone trusts her anyway 🤣

Although she might have been hamming that up in her vt as she wanted to be a traitor. Who knows....

I think she's doing a great job, and Stephen has upped his game. I think she underestimates him based on his previous dithering and her perceptionof herself as top traitor, and it may be well be him that throws her under the bus if needed rather than the other way round.

murasaki · 16/01/2026 11:54

ThatCyanCat · 16/01/2026 11:52

Well there's that, most of them can't lie straight in bed.

PinkPanther57 · 16/01/2026 11:55

How many times have Traitors won v Faithfuls across UK & USA?

DrAmanitaPhalloides · 16/01/2026 12:14

At this stage I'd have hoped that Jack, Ellie and Jade actually said something.

butimamonstersaidthemonster · 16/01/2026 12:14

Is there going to be another twist? Because tbh last nights episode was dull. I really dislike most of the faithful or they are just dull. If I’m not rooting for anyone then I will lose interest. At least Fiona and Harriet kept it lively.

butimamonstersaidthemonster · 16/01/2026 12:20

The only way the traitors win is if they can both stay until the final 6. There’s so much heat on them and some iron clad faithfuls that they will end up voting them out just because they can’t be sure. Jessie, Roxy, Ellie, maybe jack and James too, probably won’t ever be banished. Stephen and Rachel definitely could be.

peacefulpeach · 16/01/2026 12:23

I hope the traitors lose. They get too much airtime, whilst some of the others get hardly any. My favourites have gone (Sam and Harriet), so now I don’t really care which faithfuls win, as long as they do. Unlikely at this point in time!

murasaki · 16/01/2026 12:24

So who have we got left? Rachel, Stephen, Ellie, Roxy, Jessie, James, Jack, Faraaz, Matthew, who have I forgotten?
