I’ve always thought Joanie would be an unusual name for a girl of her age as well. Also, it might just be me but I feel the actress looks far older than the character is supposed to be. I’m not even sure she’s supposed to be a teenager yet, as I remember being amazed that she was still in a Bessie Street uniform before the summer holidays! I asked DH (who doesn’t watch) how old he thought she was and he said 22
