Christmas is close, 🎄 we've had minus temperatures for a wee while, and the darker days and sunset by 4pm is with us.

Let Undead Becky continue to bore and annoy us! Let nasty Theo continue to infuriate us! Let the potential child grooming storylines shock us! Let Carl Chuckle Brother continue to shag anything with a pulse! (And hopefully dump Abi!) AND let's get ready for Christmaaaaaaaaaas!!!!!! 🎅❄🎄

When George was asking about all the commotion that had been going on the previous night it was hard to work out whether it was faux naivety or genuine stupidity

Looked like genuine stupidity to me, hence why I think Christina will be the one to realise as she was previously suspicious of Theo anyway. Either her or Billy will hopefully figure it out.

Todd looked terrified when Christina and George visited, didn’t they notice??

I get irrationally irritated at this sort of thing! If someone I knew well looked at me the way Tood looked at George I would immediately know he was scared/not himself.

Yes agree. He clearly looked nervous/ anxious, how anyone would think all is ok is ridiculous really.

Genuine stupidity is the hot favourite but the way he was asking about the events of the night before then accepted the excuses did make him look like an utter moron.

We do not need another one in corrie

Perhaps she will take Aggie with her

Aggie? Hasn’t been in it for years!

TheHillIsMine · 18/12/2025 15:45

I thought it was possible that George knows more than he's letting on but acting dumb to try and get Theo to mess up.

eggandonion · 18/12/2025 17:52

I wish everyone would communicate with their friends. Poor Todd.
Theo and Carl should go away on a overnight trip and meet some sort of terrible end.

Shellingbynight · 17/12/2025 14:35

I think it does make sense in one way. DeeDee arrived in Weatherfield from being a hotshot lawyer in America, so it isn't a surprise she wants to move abroad again. She will earn enough to pay for a nursery and her family are fairly hard work. The weird part of the storyline was all the kerfuffle with James adopting, then co-parenting - like any of that was ever going to work!

lol @ hotshot lawyer in US accepting a job in a tiny back street lawyers above a shop! How the actor who plays Adam is still contracted to stay in Corrie with absolutely zilch storylines whilst fantastic actors like Debbie are axed is beyond me!

I don’t disagree with this necessarily, although I do think Adam is a great actor who has been given useless storylines so would like Debbie to stay & Adam to get a good story!

Shellingbynight · 19/12/2025 08:50

@Empress13 I agree re Adam. I don't think he's one of the better actors and whoever they pair him up with he has no chemistry with them. He is a legacy character, the great Mike Baldwin's son, they should have recast him a while ago and given him a proper role.

zanahoria · 19/12/2025 09:44

They should have kept Adam together with Sarah, they were a decent couple and it tied together the two main families in the street.

Instead she had an affair with a grubby little balding gangster.

They often wreck the long term future of the show just for daft little plots.

Shellingbynight · 19/12/2025 09:49

Noooo! I hated Adam with Sarah. No chemistry. He's such a stuffed shirt. He has never had any 'challenging' storylines, he's just there is the background looking baffled/angry/smug.

Sarah is a foot shorter than Kit but at least they vaguely have some chemistry.

zanahoria · 19/12/2025 09:51

They could give Adam a bit more screen time with Daniel. They never seem to develop friendships or family relationships. Characters go from one doomed romance to another. Even then there is little romance, they accelerate them into moving in together only for a crisis to hit.

thenightsky · 19/12/2025 09:51

I agree about Sarah and Adam being a poor match. He's meant to be smart and clever and she's always been a bit thick and superficial.

zanahoria · 19/12/2025 09:53

Adam is probably spending all his time shagging Alya in his office, explains why DeeDee is never in there.

eggandonion · 19/12/2025 10:47

Adam had a good time as a meany getting Billy addicted to drugs...that's like something I invented!
He liked Harry. He needs a baby and a proper life. And a sofa in the office.

I agree with this! Adam is good looking & has a great career & yet the gangster guy was short & not at all good looking. It really made no sense!

SingaporeSlinky · 19/12/2025 15:28

I don’t really understand why Todd installed the secret cameras anyway. If he realises he’s being manipulated, gaslit, alienated from his friends and family, criticised and controlled, he could leave. I know domestic abuse victims will say it’s not that easy, but they don’t have kids, they’re not married, they don’t have a mortgage, and Todd has George a few doors away, a job to go to, long time friends on the same street.

Why not just walk away, pack a bag and move back into his mum’s house with George. There’s nothing complicating it. And yet he’s installed cameras - for what?

Shellingbynight · 19/12/2025 16:24

I agree, the cameras made no sense to me. If the idea is that he is so conflicted and controlled he couldn't leave, he wouldn't have had the courage to install cameras either.

And throughout that entire week Todd knew the cameras were picking up everything that happened, yet he made no use of them. It was obvious things had gone very sour from the moment Theo smashed his laptop.

Thistooshallpass. · 19/12/2025 16:27

I think Todd installed the cameras more because he was worried about Theo’s mental health after he had a little (manipulative ) breakdown and said alluded to having dark thoughts . I don’t think he was doing it to capture the behaviour.

Shellingbynight · 19/12/2025 16:34

But what for? Todd barely leaves the house, he isn't allowed to. So it's unlikely Theo would be there alone. It's Todd who sits there all day alone.

But regardless of Theo and his mental health, it was obvious Todd already knew he is an abuser. He must have realised Theo would go ballistic if he realised he was being filmed. There is no universe in which it was not a really stupid option.

MonickerMonica · 19/12/2025 17:55

Todd just told Theo he loves him which beggars belief but while the rest of us want Theo to have a painful end it's possible that despite his fear and all the recent horrors, Todd still wants to 'save' the bast### !

It does feel very unbelievable.
I'm aware of coercive control, have been there, but I had no support.
Todd does have so much.
