Christmas is close, 🎄 we've had minus temperatures for a wee while, and the darker days and sunset by 4pm is with us.

Let Undead Becky continue to bore and annoy us! Let nasty Theo continue to infuriate us! Let the potential child grooming storylines shock us! Let Carl Chuckle Brother continue to shag anything with a pulse! (And hopefully dump Abi!) AND let's get ready for Christmaaaaaaaaaas!!!!!! 🎅❄🎄

Theo self harms though, doesn’t he? I think he’d likely harm himself and frame Todd.
i wonder why Todd didn’t mention the cameras? Perhaps felt as though he was guilty because he did (accidentally) hurt Theo?

SabreIsMyFave · 17/12/2025 10:24

Another good episode, Theo is evil, and he's got Todd over a barrell. Although, as a pp said, will the police - or whoever looks at the footage be able to tell it's been edited? I think this is the reason police often use cassette tapes - because you can't edit it.. Unless you cut bits out of the tape, which would be difficult and very noticable.

It would be obvious it is edited surely, because it is time stamped. We saw the timings on the screen and if someone edits the recording the timings would not flow correctly.

Housewife2010 · 17/12/2025 11:02

Wasn't it suggested that Theo killed Noah?

Let's hope the writers are smart enough to remember this.

And the break would be obvious.

Todd should be smart enough to work it out. He does have a law degree. He should also know that he can have representation in police interviews.

eggandonion · 17/12/2025 12:30

Yes where was Adam? I assume Aliya isn't fully qualified and Deedee is busy learning about the Singapore legal system.
Max would have been good on all the video stuff. Shame he's in prison in Faraway Land.

Oh yes, good thinking!

Todd has a law degree?! 😄😄😄

That explains the recording then, but he's roaming around acting like he doesnt

eggandonion · 17/12/2025 13:31

He might be a paralegal...he was oxbridge material but I think he stayed in weather field to be with Sarah then went to that London? But that was when he had the other head.

I think he was barred from being a paralegal due to some dodgy business

Shellingbynight · 17/12/2025 13:41

From Corrie wiki

While living down south, Todd gained legal qualifications which led to a few years of steady work as a law clerk. A bad breakup with his partner Sam caused Todd to become embittered and in 2013 he got himself sacked and returned to Weatherfield, his career in tatters.

Todd returned to the legal profession as the junior partner in Barlow Legal Services alongside Adam Barlow.... (the) setups were short-lived as Todd fled Weatherfield with Summer in late 2017.

(I assume it was meant to turn out differently but Bruno Langley was sacked in 2017.)

zanahoria · 17/12/2025 13:45

Didn't he get some conviction that prevented him from working as a paralegal again?

Wishimaywishimight · 17/12/2025 14:03

How can DeeDee justify taking her baby across the world, away from her entire family where it will be just the 2 of them and Dee Dee no doubt working long hours in a law firm.

.Makes no sense. I used to like Dee Dee but now she irritates me - talking in a calm, ever so gentle voice as though anything about this stupid storyline is reasonable.

Shellingbynight · 17/12/2025 14:35

I think it does make sense in one way. DeeDee arrived in Weatherfield from being a hotshot lawyer in America, so it isn't a surprise she wants to move abroad again. She will earn enough to pay for a nursery and her family are fairly hard work. The weird part of the storyline was all the kerfuffle with James adopting, then co-parenting - like any of that was ever going to work!

NebulousSadTimes · 17/12/2025 14:41

Yeah, poor James, straight onto Carl in the hope of a sympathy shag. He's obviously so terribly upset.

I meant to say, in one of the last few episodes, did anyone notice Christina saying to George she didn't want to work at the undertakers, comforting grieving widows? She was supposed to have been one just a few months ago 🙄

zanahoria · 16/12/2025 21:05

There is no way that an edited video could be used as evidence

An IT expert could retrieve the edited material.

Perhaps she will take Aggie with her

I must admit, I agree with you about DeeDee, I really don't like the character at all, and I won't be sorry when she's gone. I liked her at first, as she seemed feisty and spirited, and was a good addition to the show. But I went off her when Paul started to become ill (Gemma's brother who had MND,) and she was constantly in his face and in his business, simpering over him and speaking in her breathy whsipery voice, with the half confused/half annoyed look that she seemed to adopt and use thereafter... She didn't even know Paul, and acted like she was his wife, or mum!

And yes to the stupid idea of her taking the baby with her to Singapore, where she has no family, or friends. Stupid idea, but sadly, because she's the mother (and the father is dead) no-one can stop her. Such a dumb storyline really, DeeDee being head-hunted from a top Lawyers firm in Singapore, from a back street lawyers in a Manchester suburb, where she only works 3% of any given year!

They spotted her in Roy's Rolls and thought she is the one for us, her over there, the one with fried egg on her laptop,
