With Tom Daley who annoys me but I like that it’s proper knitting not dumbed down and they’re starting with a fairisle tank top

This really has been a damp squib on here, hasn't it? None of us could be bothered to come and comment during last night's final.

I thought post box topper and hats were good choices for the final. They all did lovely work and I think Holger deserved the win.

I have quite enjoyed it in a low key way. I think the editing was terrible, and I have never seen a reality show where so many contestants looked so miserable so much of the time. But I enjoyed seeing what they came up with for the different challenges and I think it will have inspired new knitters to pick up their needles.

The reviews have been pretty lukewarm but it has created a buzz around knitting and I wouldn't be surprised if it was back for a second series with a slightly re-jigged format.

Oh... actually ignore that, I forgot there were two threads, lots of discussion on the other one!

I wasn’t surprised Holgar won but Ailsa and Lydia were really good too.
I don’t like the collaborative task.
It is Britain’s Best Knitter. So it’s down to each of them individually.

Apparently it has had plenty of ratings and is a success.

This one started first. Maybe I should have called it Game of wool but I thought this was more descriptive rather than sounding like something involving kittens. It doesn’t matter. I comment on whichever is most active at the time. I think although a lot of people moan about it they still watch it and several people do YouTube critiques of it so I suspect C4 are happy
