Am very excited for the final season of stranger things, I think it's been one of the best shows on Netflix.

Have just watched the trailer and I wondered if anyone else had any thoughts on it?

I think it's always hard to manage a collective group of actors but they've always paired well with each other.

Random thoughts:

Why does Dustin seem to be alone? That moment with Steve though.
I love Steve.
Eleven jumping was kind of an inevitability, not sure how much I'll enjoy it though.
Hopper is not David Harbour, I don't need to know about his personal life!
I'll be gutted if we don't get any Sadie Sink as Max.
Will...

My DS has just shown me.

Shows Lucas carrying Max out what looks like the hospital. Hope Max survives. My favourite ever episode was 'Dear Billy' I heard it's set 18 months after season 4 so has Max been in a coma all that time?

You best get cracking on the rewatch 🤣 the earlier ones aren't too bad, it's the film length ones that make it tough!

@HollyGolightly4 I was late to the party with Stranger Things and binge watched the whole lot when Season 4 came out so I'm feeling positive I can do it even with the feature length ones 😂😬

Not yet seen it as I have been threatened with an untimely death if I watch before DD gets home 😊

We are huge, HUGE ST geeks in this house and are beyond excited for this. Also going to be bereft when it’s over 😳

Planning themed food for each showing and as we are away in a cottage for NYE the finale is our NYE party!!! Host has assured us Netflix always works on their tv!!

But yes … I shall watch very shortly and be back to chat soon!!!

I went to the stage show in London and it was amazing - would definitely recommend.

Agree @Bobbybobbins ! The special effects were mind-blowing. It was good that you could follow it without knowledge of ST as well- but it made so much sense for those in the know!

They keep advertising it on Netflix and I want to watch it again 🤣

Have you seen it? Jumping might be an inelegant way to put it 🤣. I mean where she kind of glides into the air to leap over the fence. Flying maybe?

Is it on on Christmas Day? I think that's great, there's never anything decent to watch nowadays and we're always stuck at home all day.

I’ve just read that the trailer was an accidental release

Teen DD is very excited, refusing to watch the trailer for fear of spoilers. It's the type of thing I would love, the being set in the 80s just adds to the appeal, but I cannot watch anything sad these days so it's a no for me. The Eddie clips on FB were bad enough!!

Will, Jonathan, Hopper potentially? Although they’ve killed hopper off before. Robin maybe?

Looking forward to it, it’s been so long, but am worried that deaths could spoil the festivities!

I don’t like the horror elements so I’m nervous about that too.

The stage show had some amazing special effects.

I think all of the Byers family could die.

I’d most like to save Nancy, Steve, Max, Erica and Lucas.

I think Jonathan might die, protecting Will and Joyce😔.

I don't want any of the "kids" being killed off! Or anyone really 😆 I hope any deaths aren't gratuitous, they've always done well with that before ( main character speaking, not security guards, collateral damage etc)

technically it’s on on Boxing Day in the UK - pretty sure it’s 1am on Dec 26 in the UK by the time it drops on Netflix

The bit where Eleven jumps - maybe the Upside Down breaking into our world is somehow amplifying her powers or they are evolving?

@Screenageragree with you that those particular deaths will be unacceptable 😄Teen DD thinks maybe Johnathan as she thinks Nancy and Steve are destined to be together. Also the clips of Nancy washing her hands feels like it’s blood of someone she loves.

Also bloody loved the stage show, we were relatively new to theatre and hate musicals so I was worried it would be hammy and ruin it for us. But wow. Just incredible. Now I feel like it’s ruined me for all theatre in the future 😄. I had goosebumps when the theme tune came on near the start and both DD and I squealed out loud when the Demigorgan appeared! I thought the part on the ship was so well done. And at the end when everyone applauded you could feel the excitement in the air. It was just so good. I’m really interested to see how they link some things in. There’s clearly a massive link to either drugs serving soldiers were given or substances they may have been exposed to. The MK Ultra thing.

But once again OP thanks for this thread and I’m looking forward to dipping in and out and watching the new series … there something so exciting about sharing the anticipation with other MNers 😊

I think unfortunately either Eleven or Will has to die for Vecna to be killed as both seem to be inextricably linked to him.
