Am very excited for the final season of stranger things, I think it's been one of the best shows on Netflix.

Have just watched the trailer and I wondered if anyone else had any thoughts on it?

I think it's always hard to manage a collective group of actors but they've always paired well with each other.

Random thoughts:

Why does Dustin seem to be alone? That moment with Steve though.
I love Steve.
Eleven jumping was kind of an inevitability, not sure how much I'll enjoy it though.
Hopper is not David Harbour, I don't need to know about his personal life!
I'll be gutted if we don't get any Sadie Sink as Max.
Will...

Yeah we get the episodes at 1am. So technically boxing day and new years day for UK viewers.

I personally don't want anyone to die and I kinda think nobody will. The Duffer Brothers have said that this is a programme based on those 80s kids adventures were the goodies always triumph. I think everyone will be okay.

But it's going to be bloody epic tv. I don't know how it's possible for them to beat the absolute cinema that was season 4, but I've no doubt that they will.

If they don’t properly finish and make explicit the Will / Mike storyline it’ll be annoying.

I found season 4 okay..I think because they were separate didnt feel like the other seasons in a way so least all back together this time!!

The release dates annoy me 🤣 sod subscription money just do it in one wack!! Sad its nearly over but glad theyre not dragging it out too much.

This makes sense! Although, I agree that possibly Jonathan dies to save Will

I felt emotionally drained after watching the S5 trailer alone!

I’m currently rewatching from the beginning in preparation for S5.
I’ve just watched the episode with Kali, I wonder if she’ll make an appearance….

I think Ted and Murray won't survive but, I think the rest will be ok.
I can not wait, absolutely loved the trailer!
Waiting for the 5 min clip to come out for stranger things day.

I have almost completed my binge watch of all 4 seasons. It has been a marathon task but I'm almost there.

Enjoying it so much second time round as well and had forgotten how funny a lot of the characters are. And I never got the Eddie love initially but seeing it again I now get it. Have cried several times despite knowing what's happening.

Still debating taking Thursday morning off work to binge

I'm actually dreading DD watching this series, life is a emotional roller coaster for her at the moment and I don't think either of us can cope with the stress and trauma ST brings!!

Same with mine! It’s been the tv backdrop to her formative years and she’s been getting emotional as it is watching the them all to get ready. I’m expecting lots of tears 😭

I’ve just rewatched all 4 seasons - can’t wait for season 5 but wish they were dropping them all at once!

I’m another who didn’t get the Eddie love, but now totally do!

I really hope Steve, Dustin, Lucas, Nancy, Max & Robin survive. I think Hopper, Joyce, Will, Jonathan, Mike & Eleven are all doomed unfortunately. No doubt I will feel bereft & emotionally exhausted when it’s all over.

Agree @MILLYmo0se and @tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz Have agreed with DC to look up spoilers, to reduce the suspense, but DH dislikes spoilers and we have bad poker faces!

For me it also brings back both fond and difficult memories of lockdown.

I don’t think it’ll be a LOT of ‘goodie’ deaths, that doesn’t seem on-brand for the showrunners.

Im not sure Eleven will survive, how could she ever just lead a normal, mundane life?

I really want to see the stage show too but no one I know IRL watches Stranger Things & I’m not really brave enough to go alone!!

You should go @Daytimetellyqueen ! Special effects were fantastic and the show enjoyable, had some criticisms but it was well worth it. It’s easy to get to and lots of things close by, like places to eat, and the crowd at the show was varied and friendly. I went with DC1 but would have enjoyed it alone.

We’re literally counting down the hours in our house, we’re embarrassingly obsessed and have been since season 1. What amazes me is DS2 was 2 when it first came out and now he’s as obsessed as all of us.
It lands at 8pm here so we’ve already got dinner planned (pizza obvs), the blinds will be down, the lights out and ready to go!!

Just watching "Papa" the penultimate episode of season 4. Papa tells Eleven that she has made progress in getting her powers back. That she's learnt to walk again. But that she will need to 'fly' to defeat Vecna and she's not there yet. The 'flying' in the trailer must relate to this conversation.

Agree, the special effects were amazing. A bit TOO real for my DC! We had cheaper seats, which were fine.
