Carrying on from the last thread. Smile

Asha took an overdose, as she has been depressed and low, but she's OK (physically.) Recently been attacked by a horrible racist woman who seems to have got away with it thus far!

Brody - Kit's son - is starting to become 'nice,' like (nearly) all the bad kids do!

Tim has just met up with a woman he knew from years ago... An ex flame I think. Sally is not happy!

Jenny has left!

Bethany is back! Lost her journo job. Again!

Todd is still in a bad, toxic relationship with Theo! Lego hair.

Lisa Swain's deceased wife Becky has risen from the grave! Threatening Lisa and Carla's relationship.

Kev's brother Carl enjoys having sex - with anyone really. Abi believes that Carl loves her. He doesn't!

Tyrone's not having a good time lately! He's in a bad way after being hit by a car.

Probably some more stuff going on that I've missed.

Does anyone else think Will and his former coach are in a secret relationship and that’s why he didn’t want to move from Hull?

Well spotted!

JewelleryCat · 05/11/2025 23:11

Also, how old is Will meant to be? The actor playing him looks to be in his 20s

Regarding the former coach, will this turn into a grooming storyline?

eggandonion · 05/11/2025 23:13

Brian will get involved. He was very cross about Tim and the forgotten woman.

MonickerMonica · 05/11/2025 23:35

I smiled a bit when Tracy called Cassie Cilla Black. 🙄😀.

I think it already is

He is doing GCSEs so 15/16.

I really do not want another grubby abuse plot

bizzey · 06/11/2025 01:00

I think Will is meant to be 15.
He is due to take his GCSE 's next year , as they were saying all the French was going to help with his exam .

I don't blame him for not wanting to move to Manchester at that age !
New school , exams coming up and leaving his training academy (? Football ?)

Silly storyline to put in .

What parent uproots their child the term before their GCSES !!

bizzey · 06/11/2025 01:01

Cassie and Tracey are loving their spat scenes together 🤣!

Maybe. If so, then when it's finally revealed, (which given how the script writers love to drag a story on, will be the 2027 Christmas episode), the penny will drop for Tim about his own abuse and there will, after all, have been a point to that short-lived storyline.

NebulousSadTimes · 06/11/2025 08:02

When Tracey or Cassie (can't remember who it was) phoned to try and get Ken seen by a medic because he wasn't well they said they'd give him his flu jab while he was there. Bollocks.

It was revealed at the end of last night's episode.

I thought you couldn’t have the flu job while unwell like Ken was. Maybe I’ve misremembered

No, you can't. Also, if vaccination was going to be mentioned it would be during the consultation not whilst making the appointment at the behest of the receptionist. And it's more commonly done elsewhere or at a specific clinic for that purpose, it's hard enough to stop appointment times running over.

Yes I thought the same

They seem to do this a lot in soaps

Neighbours is particularly bad at this

Thistooshallpass. · 06/11/2025 09:20

Yes became obvious last night that the random Tim and the older woman scenario was a “foreshadowing “ of this new boy being abused by his coach . So we can all think about how women can be groomers too ..

and get the message across to young viewers that they no chance of getting through their teens without being abused, battered, incarcerated or maybe killed.

It seems a shame that we do not get a chance to know the young lad first

JewelleryCat · 06/11/2025 14:38

We need lighthearted storylines again like there used to be. It struck the right balance in the past between serious and lighthearted

AmusedMaker · 06/11/2025 15:45

This storyline with the new families son is too much.
They arrived like a whirlwind, and before we can catch our breath they dive straight in with this teacher/ pupil thing. We don’t even know the character, absolutely nothing about him, other than he didn’t want to leave Hull. All too much too soon.

loving Cassie & Tracy though - you really feel that Tracy genuinely can’t stand Cassie. 😃

Livingthebestlife · 06/11/2025 16:49

What the heck fell out of the teapot spout when Cassie was pouring the tea after Tracy asked if there was more tea in the pot? It just plopped into the cup.

I've always liked Eva but I'm not feeling that this family is a good match for her, it's strange seeing her play 'mother' to older children.

It could just be early days and may take time to get use to the new family but there's so many different accents, NI, West of Ireland and a bit of Dublin, then the different UK accents. I understand that people/families can have different accents but this is just annoying me.

Maggie is Mrs Doyle, her ways, movements, accent, even a lot of the same wording. I just can't seem to see past Mrs Doyle and it doesn't help having her insist on people having a cup of tea, all we need now is her to say "go on, go on, go on".

I don't think I can handle another lad in bubble jacket with hood up, moaning, up to whatever, grooming etc it's been done to death on all the soaps

I'm now 100% fast forwarding all of Carla and co scenes, there is absolutely nothing watchable about any of them, always touching and rubbing and hanging off each other, it's the same argument episode after episode and your woman in her rain coat hiding around corners, the kid with the whining voice, they should all move to Spain for good.

FeltCarrot · 06/11/2025 18:01

@Livingthebestlife I noticed that about the tea! Looked very gloopy 🤢

I find it hard to take seriously.

At the big reveal, all I could think about was how a grown woman could fancy a lad with one of those daft teenage haircuts

Empress13 · 06/11/2025 21:29

Other than the banter between Tracey Luv and Cassie there’s not much else holding my attention at the moment. New family are awful just awaiting the mother of Will and Olly to rock up and cause more mayhem heaven help us !

Deadringer · 07/11/2025 13:33

Cassie and Tracy are great together, Claire Sweeny was definitely trying not to laugh at times. Like pp, I found it very hard to raise any interest in a missing teen who we have never seen or even heard of before. It would be much more interesting if they introduced a grooming storyline with a child we have watched grow up on screen, but perhaps they wouldn't go there.

eggandonion · 07/11/2025 15:12

Did leanne ever go to Hull? I thought Eva and Cindy and possibly Sheila Grant were in France. Nobody ever mentioned Hull.

Yes, I thought it was France too. First time someone has mentioned Hull.
