Carrying on from the last thread. Smile

Asha took an overdose, as she has been depressed and low, but she's OK (physically.) Recently been attacked by a horrible racist woman who seems to have got away with it thus far!

Brody - Kit's son - is starting to become 'nice,' like (nearly) all the bad kids do!

Tim has just met up with a woman he knew from years ago... An ex flame I think. Sally is not happy!

Jenny has left!

Bethany is back! Lost her journo job. Again!

Todd is still in a bad, toxic relationship with Theo! Lego hair.

Lisa Swain's deceased wife Becky has risen from the grave! Threatening Lisa and Carla's relationship.

Kev's brother Carl enjoys having sex - with anyone really. Abi believes that Carl loves her. He doesn't!

Tyrone's not having a good time lately! He's in a bad way after being hit by a car.

Probably some more stuff going on that I've missed.

I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again, I’m not keen on Becky and wish she’d go back to Spain

Yep her and Betsy are like Kevin & Perry (especially in that bloody green schoolboy Parka) tho I’d rather they stay and the criminals catch em and shoot the pair !

zanahoria · 22/10/2025 20:57

None of it makes sense tonight

eggandonion · 22/10/2025 21:10

Poor husband is traumatised. He thought George was in a passionate embrace with his sister.
Imfed up with the Dev family and Bernie family.

Glad you said that, thought it was just me! I think for me I’m struggling because I don’t really care about any of the characters. The episode seemed much longer than an hour.

thenightsky · 22/10/2025 21:22

Dev's latest marriage is going to be short lived then.

What husband ? Have I missed something must admit I do zone out

Luckily there's been no marriage.

@eggandonion 's DH I think.

Luckily there's been no marriage.

I thought they made it official last week

Bernie was utterly vile tonight and it was very poor taste putting that comedy routine into Asha's suicide plot

Empress13 · 22/10/2025 22:47

carmak · 22/10/2025 22:18

🤣

carmak · 22/10/2025 22:50

@zanahoria I thought it got postponed.....I may be wrong.

Can't stand Bernie.

SabreIsMyFave · 22/10/2025 23:23

George: 'The Stiffy is an award for keeping it up as long as I have.' 🙄

Calling an award for a funeral director 'a stiffy' is pretty stupid and borderline offensive anyway, but the whole ooooh matron thing around it is tedious. Who the hell is writing these daft lines? Confused

As others have said, I can't stand bloody 'sad haircut' Becky! I wish she would bore off! I agree that Lisa's hairstyle is stolen from the 1970s!

I wonder why Dev decided to make it public that Asha tried to take her own life?!

Theo is so irksome. I wonder how he paid for that car for Todd if he's in his overdraft?!

Carl looks more like a Chuckle Brother every time I see him! Looks like he's not happy that Abi has decided to not take anything/any money off Kevin.

What's going to happen with that awful seminar woman next?! She's being charged with ABH, but will she worm her way out of it (saying she was provoked?!)

More misery for Asha! 😢And Dev and Bernie are on the rocks......

As above...yes poor real life dh hadn't realised there are two ladies in George's life. He needs to concentrate.
If they are both homeless and move into Todd's room...what will Mary say?

Middlemarch123 · 23/10/2025 05:34

It’s Carry on Corrie. I’m running out of soaps! I ditched Eastenders months ago, Emmerdale a week ago…can’t ditch Corrie too! But I usually fall asleep, then rewatch on catch up! I never fall asleep in Classic Corrie, it’s so much better. Character led rather than dire script led? Hope it improves soon.

HurdyGurdy19 · 23/10/2025 06:25

And as ever, as soon as Abi needs a job, she only had to look at Dev leaving Roy's, and she's set up in a job, wearing a perfectly fitting uniform and seemingly running Prima Donna, having been fully trained in just a couple of hours 🙄

AmusedMaker · 23/10/2025 07:34

The scene in the bistro with Bernie, Gemma & the other woman was ridiculous. The fights that go on in there I’m surprised they’re still going.
Isn’t it supposed to be a bit posh?
Roy’s cafe seems so much calmer.
and I can’t stand Bernie either. I’ve never liked her character.

carmak · 23/10/2025 08:19

Does anyone know? I can't remember if the legal marriage with Bernie wearing the strange yellow shorts outfit went ahead. Confused

Ya know what, I can't remember! 😆 I googled this, and everywhere I look, it says they exchanged vows/got married properly in August this year. (Why do I not remember this?!!!)

@HurdyGurdy19 I agree, once again, someone has walked straight into a job. And yes, Abi was in a perfectly fitting uniform, and with no training. This type of storyline is so silly.

@AmusedMaker yeah that scene was daft, and I don't believe the seminar woman would have decked Gemma and Bernie like that in a public place! (Especially with how she would already have eyes on her after the Asha accusations. The whole scene was farcical.

I assumed people only go to watch the fights

It cannot be that posh, they use synthetic truffle oil

Edited

Never mind the kebab shop, people just waltz into jobs as solicitors and designers in Corrie.

Next week Kirk will cover for Dr Gaddas while she is on holiday.

It was absurd how the rile her and video plot went to tee, I know Gemma is annoying and many people would have an urge to slap her but then she went full out and decked Bernie.

eggandonion · 23/10/2025 12:33

I wouldn't have a clue how to organise a kebab shop. I could probably elbow a snoring undertaker and taken a message.
I've always thought I could be a medical receptionist so would try that...it was always very gossipy in the health centre.

MonickerMonica · 23/10/2025 14:21

The stiffy awards idea was imo a lot more than borderline offensive. I don't personally know any undertakers but wonder what their opinion would be. It wasn't clever or funny and I'd like to get my hands on the writer who thought of it and whoever sanctioned it. 🙁🤜🤲
