So much going on.

Sally and Tim are foster parents for Lou and Mick's children. (Whilst Lou and Mick are in jail.)

Kit (Brody's bio dad) has been assigned desk duties at work after getting into trouble. Bernie has gone on holiday alone.

Dev has packed Aadi off to India, to live with his uncle Vikram! (As he thought Aadi was out of control!)

Tim has Mr Spock eyebrows. Sally is still a snob. 'It's a top quality hot tub!' 😆

Abi and her comedy lips is having a sordid little fling with Kevin's Chuckle brother Carl. TracyLuv is blackmailing them because she caught them smooching!

DeeDee is (unprofessionally) dating a client.

There seems to be a secret involving Swain's deceased wife Becky that Kit's boss seems to know about, but won't talk about, and it's getting annoying now. (Just tell us Corrie bosses!)

Sarah has helped the factreh make a financial loss after flirting with a potential buyer who accused her of sexual harrassment, and is now demanding a discount, (which has resulted in other buyers wanting the same discount.)

you should realise by now you can pack up your life in 10 mins get on a One way flight with no job or accommodation and look to live there forever without applying for citizenship through legal channels to live there ! Totally bonkers 🤪 really hope Cringey Carl runs Todd over this time !

I just came on to say exactly this. So Rita just says “I’ve booked you a flight” and she’s packed and gone the same day with nowhere to stay, no visa, nothing.

Yes, George was asking Jenny about “her friend in Tenerife”, as if this was something that was common knowledge.

While I get that Jenny is supposed to have found her niche as landlady of the Rovers, I think the writers have forgotten that she didn’t even want Johnny to buy it originally. Also, she kept talking about her days of looking up to Bet, but I’m pretty sure she only worked there for about a fortnight back in 1994.

Mentioning the point from @bizzey is it me or since the pandemic, we have been having these low key exits from Corrie and Emmerdale? Not sure about EE since I don’t watch it but before the pandemic, we would have these big farewells in the pub then hugs afterwards and them saying safe travels and now nothing like that. It’s just very low key and I’m not sure if it’s to do with cost because as we know, ITV is in a bit of a crisis if you believe the papers but it seems odd

She got pissed and did an Instagram Q&A a while back. One of the things she said when asked why Corrie never did location filming anymore was that there was no money for it anymore (and that she hated doing it anyway). Obviously that’s only one incident, but I get the impression there were more.

I guess they spent all the money on the canal street do.

There is certainly no money for night time scenes.

Monday we had speed dating at five, yesterday it was clubbing in the afternoon.

On Friday morning we will probably see Ken, Audrey and Rita off their heads on ecstasy

Was anyone else mildly thrown when Debbie was looking at those old photos to remember that Carl is Percy Sugden’s great nephew? Percy would choke on his tea cake if he could see how he’d turned out!

You’re right @zanahoria there are never any night scenes now and I didn’t notice until you pointed it out. Is it because of the money there are none? I know there are these silent discos now and is it Vicky McClure who did or does clubs in the afternoon but yeah, you’d think Canal Street would be more lively in the evenings

I am sure it is the money but it is just getting sillier and sillier.

Not been to Canal Street in decades but I would be amazed if it is like that on a Wednesday afternoon in the autumn.

Perhaps Carl was having that cozy chat with Ken to discover whether Ken had ever had it off with his Great Uncle?

On reflection (am almost ashamed to reflect on Corrie 😕) it occurs to me that the point of it was to introduce a previous victim of Theo's abuse and control. It could have happened without the carnival daftness. Ah well at least there was some colour and dancing which made a change from the undertakers/corner shop/depressing pub/Carl's hotel room (which I can almost smell from here.....sweaty and grim.) Which poses a ❓. How did Debs not see Abbie's frequent visits to the hotel? Just good luck on Abbie's side?
