I had to take DD2 out- and ordinarily, I might have been a bit miffed- but at least there was plenty of time and I haven't missed anything important.

The heat is making me want to go to sleep though- and we have Air-con

DS2 and his GF are cooking and the kitchen is like a sauna. At least the sitting room is a bit cooler.

Top tip - put damp flannels in the freezer. Defrost on various parts of your person. Back of the neck is great! Just like the players with their big chunky ice packs! Honestly it's great and it costs nowt. ❄️

The think I appreciate about the Wimbledon final, is no big fanfare. No warbly singing of the national anthem and no big booming announcement of their names when they enter the court.

We have family who have a business, so we have an old unit fitted downstairs , but we have nowhere to put an upstairs one. We do have the unit on the wall outside, ready for it.

I can't sleep with out the noise of a fan.
