I put iplayer on, to avoid the BBC2 wittering- and still had to hunt down the Fritz/Khachanov match , because where it said it was, was still Clare waffling away.

Yes the iPlayer layout is quite un user friendly

But I love Murray’s style and personality! He’s so dry and funny….

Cam Norris , although plays under the British banner due to his parents background, has spent hardly any time in the UK (according to Wikipedia). He grew up in South Africa and then New Zealand. He came over to the UK for a few years aged sixteen, partly for funding opportunities and then went to college in Texas. He now lives in Monaco. His parents have now moved back to the UK. They’re Scottish and Welsh.

Looking forward to the match this afternoon. I won’t mind who wins, Cam because he’s a Brit (sort of), and Carlos because he’s the start of the new era post Nadal, et al.

Could be a fairly easy match for Fritz this, unless Karen fins something extra.

I have really warmed to Taylor after watching his matches against GMP and Diallo. He’s such a fighter, and I like his sense of humour. I am hoping he makes the semifinals (although not the final because his record against Djok is terrible).

Ice no, Taylor has a dreadful record against Djok. He has been in such good form coming into this though, it might give him more confidence(but we are obviously hoping Djok doesn't get that far ). Remember, Stan had a similar record against Rafa when he won AO. (although Rafa wasn't fully fit ).

I'm just watching Sabalenka & Siegemund. There's so much screaming. You'd think someone was being murdered.

I agree with his stance on not having coaching during matches too. Definitely an American that's growing on me .

Bit of a comeback going on from Karen.

Laura has won the first set. Aryna is finding her game really awkward to deal with.

Laura does have a game style that a few struggle with.

Karen is 5-0 up in the 3rd set now. Bit unexpected- Taylor seemed very comfortable.

After being awake since 6.15 with the cat meowing in my face, I fell asleep and woke up to Siegmund winning the first set 😪.

Never seen the attraction in Jimmy Anderson.

What's happened, has Karen raised his level or has Taylor dropped? I switched over to the women's match because it seemed more interesting.

Oh fgs- now Simon and John are at it over the shot clock (for the opposite reason- this match is quite quick, and they think all matches should be speedy).

Taylor is really suffering with that foot. I don’t know how they avoid infection not having time to let things heal and then having to be so careful what they use in case there’s a banned substance in it.

It's a good point Jane I think a lot of players have said they are getting quite paranoid over anything they use now, in case of contamination.

I have always said we should be able to swap out feet when they wear our. So badly designed.

Karen still has momenttum. Not sure how much Taylor is suffering. Or whether Karen has just got more confident.
