AC is always trying to get gossip. It was to Boris's credit that he never gave an inch , no matter how much AC tried to press hm for the dirt.

Works for tv worldwide? Yes, but does it work for the players, AC?

Well , wasnt it lovely to have someone commentate on THE TENNIS... not the royal box, not the personal lives of the players, not the trivia that AC and TH drivel on with....

@Bonbon21 it was - proper technical commentary, and insight. I don't mind anecdotes - some commentators do them very well, but AC has one script, and has been churning it out for years. He is unable to deviate from it, and was completely shown up by how genuine Andre was.

The mixed doubles is now a multi million dollar event, being played over a few days before the main tournament, involving pairings made up of mainly singles players. (Like Emma Raducanu and Alcaraz ). The winners ger $1 million- 10 times what the mixed pairing s usually win. It's supposed to raise the profile of the event- but it really shaft the 'professional' doubles players.
The only pair who actual doubles soecialists in the draw are Sara Errani and Andrea Vavassori- who won it last year (and RG recently).
