I watched the Bahrami match too, it was great. Bahrami decided he wanted a sit down at one point so got a kid from the stands to play a few points. He looked very chuffed!

Iga was just Iga, I think- Belinda may have been a bit hampered by her toe, but it wasn't mentioned, and there was no MTO.

I am glad Iga won. I don't think (from what I saw of Amanda today) the final will be quite so one sided- and she's beaten Aryna, that has to give her a lot of confidence. But the occasion may get to her. But- it's Iga in a final. And Iga does Iga things.

Both the men’s and women’s finals have been moved to 4pm Raahh - I think there are the doubles matches on before but I think 4pm is a bit too late

Long time lurker and love these threads. So looking forward to the women's final because every match I have enjoyed. Iga was impressive and love the rock music choice to calm down pre match.

Yes, I vaguely remember that now. At a push, it's ok for the women- but it is a stupid idea for the men. It could go on for hours.

I'm not sure about the switching of the singles and doubles finals. Is it tv driven?
Certainly 4pm for the men's singles is too late, given it could be a long 5 setter.

I think part of the intention of switching the doubles and singles finals was to give the doubles a higher profile - when the doubles is after the singles a lot of the crowd go home but they should get a bigger audience before the singles.

That is a good thing, but agree it could mean the men’s singles final going on very late!

They’ll probably have to close the roof halfway through the final. Stupid idea.
